Not quite completed ... but nearly there and I'm pretty pleased so far. True, the real test will be in the finished garment. I've been pleased with the way he's handled the whole process and taken on board my comments. I'll let you know when I have the finished article ... From a thread on...

    Peak Lapels

My most recent bespoke commission is a double-vented, single-button, peak lapel with flap pockets. It's beautiful. Me too. In fact, I have the first fitting tomorrow. I did post pics of the coat at it's early stages on AAAC. Tomorrow I need to decide on 1 or 2 buttons though. I had thought I...

    Peak lapel, single button.

I, too, am meeting with Desmond Merrion in January to begin the process of a bespoke. I keep changing my mind, but I had originally said to him that I wanted a one-button. I like the photos posted here and am now feeling drawn that way again ..... it works very well with the peaked lapel too...

    "Samuel Windsor" Shoes??

This weekend the Saturday edition of The Times also had their special offer of two pairs of 'handmade leather' shoes for £99.95. It seemed too good to be true and made me suspicious. I've often looked at their website, but something doesn't quite fit ... They also offer free trees (plastic)...

    Any suggestions for brown/white spectators?

Try also Barkers and Shiptonand Heneage.co.uk. In England we tend to call the co-respondents.

Co-respondents - for cads and bounders!

Found some fabulous co-respondent shoes at Shipton & Heneage, www.shiptonandheneage.co.uk - black and white or ebony and ivory. I bought ebony and ivory and they have excited much comment. Don't know how to post a picture of them in the Forum so chech the website out! They're fab!

    Blazer style

Thanks. Can't see me in a pair of cowboy boots somehow. Perhaps I'll stay with the more formal look, which is my preference and 'excite' the look a little with a colourful pocket square!

    Blazer style

My first posting! How appropriate is it to match a traditional 'military' style (for want of a better description) blazer with brass buttons etc. with a pair of denims? And what shoes would you wear? Asking on another site I was told that blazers shouold be worn only with stiff collared...
