Ultimate noob thread - recommend me X in my wardrobe - post questions here please.

@Esoterik Starting simple is the way to go. Find yourself a good fitting oxford and buy one in white and blue. You can wear these everyday if you want and rotate out a few jackets, cardigans, sweaters, etc. and nobody will notice. Don't get too crazy with shirt patterns, maybe a check or a...

Shoes for jeans, is this OK ?

Really cool, not something I could pull off but nothing wrong with that.

What jeans is Barack Obama Wearing?

These jeans are gahhhhhh! Why would you want these? I would guess you could cop a pair at target or the like, they're nothing special.

    Ankle Drawstrings?

Just pull the string all the way out and they're regular pants again.

    Toms Shoes

Tom's certainly do have some appeal. I like the fun colors as well as the idea. That being said, WMMK is right, there are better shoes out there. In my experience, they don't look good on everyone either.

Looking for a SW&D Approved Bathrobe

There's no such thing as an SF approved bathrobe. That being said, this one delights me in a special way. http://www.paulsmith.co.uk/us/paul-s...productId=5974

^^^^^^^^^^^ Can we just delete this pic so we can keep WAYWT going and not have another five page detour?

    Summer!

I don't really get what chambray is. I'm not exactly at the fashion capital of the world or even the midwest. Is it comparable to any other fabrics?

wearing the same thing every day.

I'm not sure if I understand this correctly. If you mean to literally wear the same thing everyday, the answer is no. I don't think you mean that, though. If you mean to get a uniform look, similar to how a guy can own a few suits but wear different shirts, shoes, etc., with the same suits...

    Jean Seperation Anxiety

I know how you feel. I also get anxiety when I have to give up my old jeans to wear new ones no matter what they are. Even if my old ones were ****** $20 levis that I wore for a month straight without washing, I still always miss them when I have to start a new pair of jeans.

Robbie, you are a workwear inspired soul. I never want to see you in a dress shirt. Take off that tie and put a flannel shirt back on please.

I think Kiton's fits could be better if he didn't hang his ridiculously overpriced sweaters on hangars. Not to say that he's not a seemingly good guy, but wtf? I didn't say that he dresses in well fitting clothes, but at least he knows what he likes and wears quality clothing. I give Kiton...

(Old) What Are You Wearing Now/Today? Part II - pictures only - no discussion

Why would I do that? I'm not "kittonbrioni." Apparently even this is going way over your head. Kiton lists his clothing but never has pictures on here, only his blog. The only difference is that he dresses very well and probably wears over 1K of **** every time he walks out of the house. People...

    Recent purchases

Congratulations to me, I just won an eBay bid on a Burberry singlebreasted trenchcoat for $62 plus shipping. Is that an okay price? Hopefully it's legit. Burberry is one of, if not the most faked brand out there.

Why Do We Spend So Much On Clothes?

I know SoCal spends money on clothes so he can sell it to us for a cheap price and a smile. I spend money on clothes because it's fun, it makes me feel good, and because you need to wear clothes. The reason I spend more than the average guy my age is because I want to get the right clothes and...

Graduating in 3 months... Should I take a year off and travel or try to get a job?

I'd travel over the summer but a year is a lot. Maybe it's what you need but I'm finishing high school next year and planned to go on a trip over the summer using some money I've saved. A few weeks in San Francisco and a few weeks in Denver bumming off of my relatives. I've now decided to try to...
