    Burnt Hender Schemes

I highly recommend against this. You probably wouldn't sell the shoes in the long term, but I doubt you'd wear those drastically redyed shoes in several years time. On the other hand, your shoes, even in their ironed form, will be a lot more relevant by that time. What I meant by taking them...

    Burnt Hender Schemes

OP, on one serious note, the right way to keep creases in check is shoe trees, as was mentioned before. Creases will stay there, but the shoe will maintain its shape significantly better in the long term. If you really care about shoe presentation when they are on the shelf, put them in shoe...

    Burnt Hender Schemes

To quench my ignorance, I just read about the brand and what it stands behind. I can make sense out of your stance now. Just my personal opinion, but I think those leather sneakers look better in either white or dark colors. But to each his own of course. I really think the OP should try to hit...

    Burnt Hender Schemes

Out of genuine curiosity to those with experience, is it possible to bye some Feibing's leather dye and change the color to something entirely different? (assuming you know the correct instructions)

[Leather Shoes Issue] Flaky texture on toe cap

An update: I have sanded down the toe cap, and it looked pretty good for a day. The exact same flaky like texture started to resurface. It is not something that can be peeled off or cleaned. It turned out that this is due to water droplets. But why does this only happen to the left pair? Water...

[Leather Shoes Issue] Flaky texture on toe cap

Good to know the reason nonetheless. I have been tirelessly trying to get the shine to be even on both pairs, but in vain. At least now I cannot be fooled again! I have also worn the heck out of them, and they are pretty comfortable apart from the defect.

[Leather Shoes Issue] Flaky texture on toe cap

I have previously also tried the blow drying method. Unfortunately nothing has changed at all when I attempted.

[Leather Shoes Issue] Flaky texture on toe cap

Thanks a lot for offering help. Sorry if I didn't clarify. The left toe cap came flaky out of the box. That was a year ago. I didn't bother with it at the time. In the last few months I've attempted to strip it down twice, by rubbing alcohol for around half an hour. The flaky texture wasn't...

[Leather Shoes Issue] Flaky texture on toe cap

Hello there, it's my first post here! I hope I'll be sticking around for a while! I have a pair of Oxford shoes that I wear daily. I have always noticed that the toe cap of the left pair has an uneven surface. I'm not good at polishing, but I can get a much better shine on my right pair than I...
