Just did. I also had someone else make a teba for me for 900rmb (craftsmanship alone, no canvassing obviously) and am looking to experiment with terry lined cabana shirts next. Not fitting available but I'm satisfied for what it is

You'll have to taobao it sadly. I had a cashnere cricket sweater made for 800rmb

Most likely, but whatever you do, no Kam Ma. In my 1st and only visit I was essentially grounded for an hour listening to the couple ramble about their accomplishments.

I assume the price you listed covers the shirting too? If not, he's def charged a lot more than he used to... As far as pockets -- shirtmakers can do pleated pockets (if their makers are willing to sew), not bellow pockets, but I digress. I suppose Golden Circle is your best bet, but what do I...

@jyu1415 if I'm not mistaken, it'd take you to decide what you want in the shirt jacket. Shirt-like without inner facing or pockets -- shirt sifus might entertain. Not all will. Bigger, extra pockets = pricier than your average shirt. Your shirt sifu will likely reject thick fabrics too because...

For shirt jackets, what construction are you looking for? If you're just looking for essentially shirts in a thicker fabric, shirt sifus may entertain you. Jacket sifus mean you spend more than 2k hkd

    Zee's Leatherware & Shoe Co.

Zee is pretty much one of the last local shoemakers in town. Yes, the term "shoemaker" is used loosely; their workshop is in the country nearby. Glad they're still around. Zee looks grumpy / intimidating at first but is a nice old man

Extra for special features too. I was charged 100hkd extra for one-piece collar but it might’ve become 150 now

Unfunded Liabilities: a/k/a The Cloth Thread

Is it just me or does a no-brand "175g seersucker jacketing" sound like a red flag?

Acorn oxfords. The irony with saving money is that sometimes your fabric gets rejected because the quality is not good enough. Think smooth-ish low-end fabrics; it's just chemical finishing.

What do you look for in fabrics? Breathability, hand, something else? Perhaps knowing the priorities would make for an easy search. If you no longer *have to* buy things in HK to get things made over there, Libas / India might be a good starting point. I'm pretty sure I've heard of Monti India...

Go get your own lengths. Your need decides what you buy but just stay away from the pricy ones for your first few shirts until you feel comfortable getting more shirts from the same guy. Usually peopleswear by Wong MH but I find Ma on 12/F (made shirts for Prologue at one point iirc) to be a...

    Towel shirt ideas

Hi, I recently started exploring ways to turn my menswear fantasies into a side business. The idea is to get small single runs of tops, likely shirts and perhaps sweaters, based on the SF community's interests at affordable rates. Priority would likely go to - Sourcing natural materials...

Glad to see 文君洋服 , the factory behind the suit, did this for you👍🏼 If possible, see if you are able to check the inside of the jacket. Lapels especially. Some factories use skin fusing to make the front look cleaner --- Side note: did some research on CMT (via Alibaba, across provinces /...

Here's a real vet👍🏼 1. is, in actual fact, linked to 4. If the logistical back-and-forth is a concern, MH Wong is essentially the only possibly choice. You'll be looking at 350HKD per shirt for cutting and sewing. One-piece collar, big pockets, MOP buttons etc. cost extra. You can contact him...
