I would have thought they would, too. Maybe if you ask Shuyler real nicely.... ;)

Those uppers are well worn - looks like those boots are rebuilds that never got back to the original owner for some reason? The soles, at least, are obviously new, and I believe the lowers are too.

Makes sense, sorry I missed your point. Thanks for the clarification.

Buy the boots, and wear them to work, whatever you do. It's that simple. My older fire boots always turned into my construction boots, anyway, and they work well in that capacity too. Or are you just fishing for a free pair of boots?

    Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts?

I've seen the boots listed on Wesco's "Seconds" page, and like you I think some of the defects are pretty minor. I wonder, though, if most of these are culled by the factory before shipping, or are they returns sent back by customers? I'm not arguing with your assumption, but I've always...

    Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts?

I expect that you could. Punching down at an angle seemed the most direct way to me and the easiest way to find the void, as I wasn't exactly sure where (how deep/which layer) I would find it. I knew where the slip was in the horizontal plane because I could feel it under my thumb as the boots...

Thank you. I've tried reattaching the photos again as thumbnails to see if that will work. I'm better with my hands than I am with computers! :-D

Good evening folks, I had a PM request for further information on injecting the glue, so I thought I'd share the reply here in case others wanted to give this a shot. The "don't glue your boots to the floor" bit was not intended to be condescending, just my poor attempt to humorously say...

On the subject of squeaks in the ball of the foot: At the risk of getting blamed for messing up somebody's boots, I'm going to share this with y'all. Some of you are in the same shape I was in - you have a pair of boots that are great, except for the squeak, and either because of the shipping...

After sizing, waiting is the hardest part... ! Good luck!

Interesting. I prefer the thinner tongues, but I use the false tongues and fit my boots so that the gap between the eyelets is fairly narrow so the false tongue is all that's exposed in the gap. I've never worn a hole through the tongue doing it this way. I think you use the false tongues too...

    Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts?

Yep, that's the truth, unfortunately. White's (or ABC, their Asian owners) wants to branch out and do all these fancy models of shoes and boots, then jacks their prices up at a crazy rate over the last 18-24 months, and also extends their wait times to six months or more, in some cases? I'm...

    Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts?

Not quite. Drew's was yet another of the PNW boot makers, a stand-alone company at one time. Here's a brief history of Drew's: https://drewsboots.com/pages/our-story I've worn out several pairs of Drew's over my career (but it took years, literally). They're good solid boots, and an...

Glad it worked out for you! Sizing is the tough part, and sizing pull-on boots without being able to try them on is downright scary! You're right about Kyle - he knows what he is doing and has the patience of a saint.

Sarcasm detector went into high gear on this one.:D Aldgasm! Oh my goodness! White’s seems to sell all the BOOTS they can make without the need to diversify into street shoes, which then only draws fire for the imperfect finishing. Maybe they’ve decided to focus on what they do best.

The logger is much more stable on uneven surfaces or for hiking. I like the packer heel, which I assume is similar to the dogger but slightly taller (I think) for casual wear on even surfaces. The high arch is very comfortable to me, but the high heel with the smaller surface area is not as...

Good morning! Thanks, Hoppy, but I certainly am no expert. I did try out the 269 soles on a pair of packers a while back, as I thought they were supposed to be more "cushiony", but I couldn't really tell any practical difference between them, the 700s, and the 430s in terms of standing cushion...

Good job with these boots! I love to see folks take the time to restore and use things that still have life left in them, but just need a little effort. I applaud the products used, as well - I haven't used any Saphir polish but in my experience everything else you used is a top choice for what...

Celastic toes do add bulk and change the toe shape, unforrtunately. At least it did on the two pairs I have with single celastic toes. I found that out the hard way too.
