Got Mephisto shoes - Not sure about the fit. Any ideas?

I had a pair of Mephisto Rainbow, and can honestly say they were the most comfortable shoes I ever owned. Almost daily wear for 3 and a half years until the sole finally wore through, but the uppers were still more or less like new, bar some light creasing. Size wise I just went for my usual...

Can anyone verify this as legit SLP jeans

Not an expert, but I can't see why they'd be fake. Counterfeiters usually copy flagship items, especially ones emblazoned with recognisable trademarks.

Purple label Anthony: Advise on size

Shoulders are too wide. You'd be quite limited on how much you can let it out at the waist. It looks a little tight there, perhaps a couple of lbs too tight. Is it the 38s we are looking at on your pics?

    Casual footwear

If you can wear trainers for work, it's hard to go wrong with Stan Smiths - they had a bit of a fashion moment a few years ago, but they'll always be classic

    Bonobos Suit Fit Check

Both 38s look too narrow at the shoulders. The 40 with the waist trimmed will look good imo

Does this Barbour jacket look too big on me?

I also think the sleeves will be too short on the 36. 38 looks great as a classic menswear piece. Beaufort is a traditionally fitting piece of outerwear designed for layering - I mean shirt, sweater, even a sport coat could all go together underneath it. Perhaps look at one of Barbours more...

    Jacket length help

Short looks more balanced out of the box. I'm not sure the design of the Havana is actually supposed to cover your behind completely anyway. The regular on you makes your waist appear lower, which makes your bottom half seem shorter. I'm 6'2" and slim, with a long torso and short legs but I...

    Care for Zegna Wool Trousers

Looks like moth larvae damage. An invisible mender could fix this by taking threads from the seam allowance and darning the hole. There are probably cheaper options though.

HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part IV (starting May 2014)

I love the way the lapels curve on those wider lapels. Wide lapels that just straight edge from buttoning point to notch always look a bit awkward in my eye.

Capriari of Italy do a shirt style called the Amalfi. It might be the type of collar you're thinking of... I'm not sure if they do a polo shirt with the same collar, but it could be worth a look.

    Peacoat Boutonniere (lapel flower)

It's at odds with the rugged military/naval aesthetic of the Peacoat.

[Help please] - Fit check chinos and oxford shirt

I'd avoid Burton, Next, RI etc. Gap is possibly the best bet for chinos, slightly more expensive but lots of choice of fits, colours, and finishes. Decent enough quality at the price point too. Length looks good. I'd only go longer if I wanted to be rolling them up. Shirt is too tight and it...

Building a new wardrobe. Business casual feat. rock and roll. Help!

Hard to say without an idea of the position, and things like hairstyle, facial hair etc. And, of course, what you mean by rock n roll... But, certainly, tailoring and rock n roll are familiar bedfellows. Look at pictures of the Beatles and Stones (and many, many others from that era). If...

All of my jeans are 1.5" too wide in the waist and good on length/hips

Belt is fine. It should fasten around about the middle hole, just like in your photo. If it bugs you, perhaps try another belt that has a bit more extra after the last hole. I usually size down on jeans but I have skinny legs and a smallish posterior. I think as long as they catch on your...

What are your thoughts on my MTM sport jacket after the second fitting?

They're Darts, used to add shape to a garment. The only sport coats that don't have them are very traditional American 'sack' style coats, and some modern interpretations of that style. My honest opinion, given that you are 'testing the water' with this new tailor, would be not to commission...

What are your thoughts on my MTM sport jacket after the second fitting?

First thing I noticed was the pattern matching, or lack of, on the back
