Official Sales Alert thread - sales, coupon and discount codes

It is legitimate but customer service is poor. I bought some EG loafers that were on sale about $300-400 off regular price. None of their listings mention the model or last. So weird. Customer service either lied or did not know but they said all their shoes are E width. They were actually F...

Letting the crotch or seat area out for pants is less complicated and less expensive than tapering legs. Tapering legs is about $40-45 and letting a seat out is like $25. It all depends on if there is extra material in the crotch area. Post a pic of the inside of the pants in the crotch region...

I have the Seymour which seems to be cousins to the Repton. Repton is on 337 and Seymour is 358. Both are an upgrade to the Lowndes for sure - never quite loved my Lowndes for some reason. Maybe I'm just use to the handgrades.

What kind of taps have a greater likelihood of scratching floors? Black plastic or sunken metal?

This discussion on toe taps really took off. Not to take sides in the discussion, I agree with what @RogerP is saying. I realized I needed toe taps when I noticed that the toes of all of my shoes (athletic, casual, and dress) had quite a bit of wear - more than a friend's in comparison for...

Thanks! That's a game changer. Definitely going to check Aram out. I already know his brother after buying some C&J and Alden from his store in Georgetown.

Thanks for the suggestion on B Nelson. I'm going to call them today and see if they can help me I haven't even heard of B. Nelson until both of your posts so thanks for that. Found plenty pictures of his work including a whole appreciation thread. Not worth it to send back to England now that I...

Has anyone gotten metal toe taps installed by EG? I have a couple pairs I'm thinking about sending back to have them put in. I'm hoping that they are inset aka flush with the sole. My guy on Jermyn Street says they can do it for 35 pounds per pair + shipping. Trying to avoid my cobbler putting...

Does anyone know of a cobbler they trust that does inset metal toe taps that are flush with the sole in the Washington DC, Virgina, or Maryland area? My regular guy only does the standard black toe taps that are hammered on the toe and heel, but the consensus on SF is that inset is better. I...

They do feel shorter - probably on account of the 184 being a loafer last. The coffee suede Piccadilly fits well despite being F width. Will try to post a pic tomorrow. I guess it all worked out.

Me and Burzan have been messaging regarding this. Their customer support also told me that they are E width since it's not listed on the product description, but per Burzan apparently they are shipping F widths out. Mine comes in tomorrow and I bet they are F width too :|
