Hi folks, I need your professional opinion on this one. When I lace up my AE fifth street I get an ugly "fold" between two of the eyelets on one side. I am having the same problem with both shoes. (see the attached photo, sorry for the bad quality) I try to tie them evenly but the problem...- fsallstrom

Lacing My Allen Edmonds
Hi I get an ugly looking "fold" next to the lacing. Same place on both shoes. I'm trying to tie them evenly but it doesn't help. I'm starting to think I've done something wrong when I laced them. Attaching photo. What do you think? Thanks!- fsallstrom

Hi. Sorry for hijacking this thread. I received my fifth street AE boots today and noticed the same "heel issue". I was actually planning to return them before I read this thread. No I not sure anymore. I'm new to hand made shoes and don't really know what to expect. What's your opinion?- fsallstrom
