    LABEL guide

Hey people, Is there an official label guide thread already? I found this one for Zegna http://www.styleforum.net/t/63972/zegna-labels-ids-for-ebay-purchasers-graphic-intensive but not for any other brand. I recently started looking at used suits on eBay and a guide like this could really...

The Tailors' Thread: Fit Feedback and Alteration Suggestions

Any special eBay store to look at? What price would a suit like that be and what specific brands should I look at?

The Tailors' Thread: Fit Feedback and Alteration Suggestions

The suit was 40 or 45, pretty decent for the price :) the problem is putting 200+ in tailoring. Doesn't really make sense to me. The guy that " tailored" that suit probably cut the fabric to tighten the back, right? Or is it a simple matter of changing where the sew is and leaving excess...

The Tailors' Thread: Fit Feedback and Alteration Suggestions

Ok guys, so I got this suit at Ebay. It was a little baggy when I got it so I took to a drycleaner next to my work that had a very good tailoring review on yelp. I trusted the reviews and that was the result. I'm pretty disappointed. The tailor made the waist of the pants smaller and also took...

The Tailors' Thread: Fit Feedback and Alteration Suggestions

I had the suit 1 exchanged and got a size bigger. Didn't change a thing on the pants. I'll probably get out back from the tailor middle next week, than I post it again for comparison. Thank you

The official thrift/discount store bragging thread - Part II (May 2015 - Sept. 2018)

Forgot to answer before, I'm looking for something with size near 40R. Regarding style, I'm not 100% sure how to answer. A nice looking suit that I can wear to work (finance) that doens't look boxy.

The official thrift/discount store bragging thread - Part II (May 2015 - Sept. 2018)

I've been to century 21 several times to buy some shirts and I never even thought about looking at their suits. Might go there next weekend to check!

The official thrift/discount store bragging thread - Part II (May 2015 - Sept. 2018)

I'll pick up a suit from the tailor Friday, it should serve as a measure for me. I'll try to learn how to measure myself too. Thanks

The official thrift/discount store bragging thread - Part II (May 2015 - Sept. 2018)

Guys, any of you know a good ebay (or any other) store that is located in NYC that allow in person visits? I'm trying to find a nice used suit bellow $150 but I have zero experience in finding good deals. If I could see the stock live, it would be a lot easier to find something that fits. Thanks

The (hopefully) definitive thread on NYC tailors

TheTukker: If suit 1 is short, I'll probably go to the store and exchange for a longer version of the same unit. That should help, correct? If that is, let's say, a 40r, a 40L would have the same dimensions with exception to the length, right?

The (hopefully) definitive thread on NYC tailors

TheTukker, thank you! I was thinking in going to bhambi, but I guess that one will be more in line with my budget. One issue is that I have no idea WHAT needs to be done. Will they be able to tell me, and can I trust everything is really needed? I know I'm asking a lot, but could you check the...

The (hopefully) definitive thread on NYC tailors

Thank you, TheTukker. Already posted there. Any idea on the tailor to talk to? I've read several posts in this topic and the majority of the recommendations seem to be upper class tailors that are used for thousand dollar suits. I think that would be overkill for my situation, specially...

Hi guys, First time posting here. Could you please let me know what type of adjustments I need done in my two suits bellow to make those suits look better on me? I thought they were great, but after reading a bit here and looking at well fitted suits, I'm ashamed of using it to work again...

The (hopefully) definitive thread on NYC tailors

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum and to well fitting suits. I'm looking for an affordable place to make alterations in two suits for them to better fit me. Both my suits weren't bought in the US and, in dollars, they aren't worth more than $300, so I'm really not comfortable in putting down...
