Vintage Dress shoe appreciation, tips, maintenance and advice

The Foot-so-Port LWBs arrived today. I have to say that I am very impressed with this seldom seen brand. Visually, they are a wonderful mahogany brown with double row stitching on the brogue and a pretty decent stitch per inch. The pinking on the brogue is more toned down that some brands and it...

Vintage Dress shoe appreciation, tips, maintenance and advice

Sorry to double post, but after research I have found the answer to my own question of how to date the manufacture of the Foot-so-port shoes. The images all come from this Japanese blog at https://note.com/tanya_kaka/n/n57bae6c41af1. The company used a month/year pattern seen on the lower left...

Vintage Dress shoe appreciation, tips, maintenance and advice

I have come to the realization that retirement has drastically changed my shoe needs and the time to move some on has come. (You can DM me if you are an 11-12EEE is you know of a pair I have posted that you would really like to obtain) But I digress as it does NOT mean I have lost the desire to...

Happy Saturday forum pals. Time to pull out the Schautal, a super soft suede MacNeil, if you will, for a final wearing. It and other 11-12 EEE shoes from my collection are going up on the Bay. It is amazing how retirement alters ones need for a large shoe collection.

Tough indeed. The other pictures were not really helpful so I did not include them. I have seen where Grenson made a LWB in blue shell. I guess I shall see sooner or later.

THE 2024 ALLEN EDMONDS (AE) APPRECIATION THREAD

It is time to express your opinion on these non-AE shoes. Are they shell? I do not know the answer yet, but I will know when they arrive. They are by Grenson out of England, who has made shell cordovan shoes before, but I can't find anything on this model. So, what say you?

Generally speaking, there are no sales and TSM seconds would be the best bet for a reduced price on new. There is always a very slim chance that someone bought a pair, didn't wear them and now selling them at a discount. If you wait for a discount it is likely that you will never own a pair.
