Back on 2010 thru 2013 I was purchase several Alden shoes from different retailers and was sble to make it to afee of their special make-up lists. In fact I even got call out of one of the list to purchase a Cigar Indy which I purchase right away, but due to personal reasons I had to step away...- J One

This is the grail color 8 shade that was extinct around 2015 or so, after that all color 8 shells are either almost black or red to brown tones. You dont see this plum tone anymore. Nice looking shoes.- J One

I sent in a pair of brown shell Jeffersons from the independence collection and yes they kept the recraft fee, which is fair since they are replacing the shoes. I really dont remember how much I paid originally. I got them back around 2013 or so.- J One

That is my main concern, given the QA issues I had in the past I am afraid of getting something worst in return if I send them back. There are no other issues with the boots other than the brogue on that side.- J One

Here is a picture of the defect, please feel free to tell me if I am being unresonable. the black tint in the leather is not a deal breaker for me but the round details turned into thin ovals is, and trust me this is not the camera angle.- J One
