I'd say true to size. This is based on a single pair of derbies (the suede black ones with a contrasting sole from 2-3 years ago I believe) though. I also have a slightly narrow foot and they fit me perfectly (better than any other derby shoe I own) so maybe they fit a little bit narrow.

So you're saying you think the 4497S runs a little longer in general? Or it's a more nuanced difference with the toe cap area?

I have a pretty thin foot. Literally no size on the 4444 last fits me well. The w2298 is a lot better, the UK9 on that one fits me pretty decently. Any guesses on how the shoes on the 4497S would fit me? Specifically the Woodstocks.

How's the quality of Paul Smith Jeans? Can't find info on where this is made. Been looking for the right thin white cable knit like this for a while and I like this a lot. I'd like it to last.

When does winter stuff generally go on sales at the big online retailers? There's this jacket I really want and I'm pretty sure there's going to be plenty left at sales, but am I going to have to wait until February? March?

All right, I understand what you're talking about now. Had never heard that term before. How can this knowledge be put to use when purchasing shoes online? I should try to find out the specific last that was used while putting the shoe together?

How's the sizing on Tricker's Chukkas? I've tried on an UK9 Tricker's derby (Bourton). It was just slightly too roomy, about half a size too big. I usually wear 43EU/10US. Are their chukkas similarly sized? I could get a pair in UK9 I like for fairly cheap, but I'd rather not waste...
