    somet denim..

Have checked out the shoes and boots threads; thanks though. Boots will be something between dress and casual- not super heavy on the sole and toe but not a dress shoe sole either. I found these L.L. Bean engineer boots that will wear well and are high enough to stack the denim on top and keep...

    somet denim..

Yeah, I like Somet denim. I just got a new pair, and as they stack well, I'm looking at boots to stack them on. Any thoughts?

Somet 008; 3 washes and about 1.5 years old. Obviously a completely different look than when new.. They faded nice in my opinion; and super comfortable.

    jeans with non-sneaker shoes?

Any info on the shag carpet? no doubt, that is some serious shaggy carpet. Just screams 'nineteen-seventy-nine!" or something Nice thread. Been looking at Paul Smith boots and perhaps some lace ups and some nice thoughts here. Anyone know some wing tips as shown in black as above?

Cool...interesting choice with the tan vest on black but you make it work. Killer shoes, too. thanks, never been much of a vest wearer but liked these Buckler vests and picked one up the other day. The had a 75% off sale all weekend on FW07 stuff. Possible it is still going on for another few...

Are most high end jeans seen on here mid-rise?

I'm 5'4" with a 27.5ish inseam, and an 8-9" rise does me good. Anyone know non-girl raw selvage jeans with something like that? PBJ xx-005 and Somet 008 slims both are great denim with a low rise. Inseams can always be hemmed. Not sure what your waist measures (more like your hips if you are...

Are most high end jeans seen on here mid-rise?

I see, so basically what I'm refering to is the hip bone? From what I've gathered so far the rise listed on most sites is the front of the jeans and this is what is meant by the rise? if so I'm going to go do measurements of both the front and back rises to see what they are not sure your waist...

And this is why fat legged people shouldn't buy tapered jeans sight unseen...

Not sure what kind of denim you are looking for, but in raw denim the Atelier La Durance often work well, and the Nudie Average Joe. I'm pretty skinny though so they're too baggy a cut for me, but if I had a bigger build these would be some first choices I think.

    Jeans Shopping Suggestions For NYC?

Blue in Green is the way to go for premium denim. Also, I dont know what you're into so I will suggest Oak and Atrium too. No question, BiG is the best, hands down.

I have a jean...(The Ultimate Jean Thread For Beginners) - ask questions here.

they just turn lighter overall with no noticeable contrasts (yep -i know the drill re dry denim too). even my baggiest pair of atelier ladurance are showing more contrast in a couple of months than a year of ola. yeah, I see what you mean. Some nice contrast on a few pairs at the mynudies.com...

Post pics of your denim - denim fades and evolution

thanks. Just out of curiosity, what other jeans might fit similar? (always like to keep my eyes open). At some point might get some denim that will fade more than Ola's. If only nudie made Ola's in selvage.....

I have a jean...(The Ultimate Jean Thread For Beginners) - ask questions here.

my friend had bootcut ola for over a year, they faded pretty ****** what do you mean they "faded ******" ? BOLA's don't fade like RRDS, and they stretch lots, so it seems if they are not uber tight to begin with, they will not show much wear. That said, would be cool if nudie made some Ola's...

Post pics of your denim - denim fades and evolution

I have a jean...(The Ultimate Jean Thread For Beginners) - ask questions here.

Bootcut Ola comes in lots of different washes as well as raw. Have a look around. Read up on raw denim before you decide to go with it just so you know what you're getting yourself into. So I took a leap and ordered some 29x34 Nudie Bootcut Ola ( $130 with Revolve discount). Normally I'm a 30...

Agreed. Best. Boot-Cut. Ever. I'm not sure where to locate 5EP's, and the few places I've found sell limited sizes for >$250. I may be missing something? Does it make any sense to buy washed nudies? especially in bootcut? (by bootcut, I mean no taper, and only subtle widening into the...

I have a jean...(The Ultimate Jean Thread For Beginners) - ask questions here.

Hi All, Looking for a new pair of highly fitted, lowrise, bootcut, and could use some pointers on brands. I'm 5'8", ~140 lbs, and thin/athletic build. I'm a cyclist so my legs are pretty muscular- maybe 18 inches at the thigh. Waist is ~29 inches, and ~30 at hips. I'm looking for a fitted boot...
