Somet 008; 3 washes and about 1.5 years old. Obviously a completely different look than when new.. They faded nice in my opinion; and super comfortable.- bassounds

jeans with non-sneaker shoes?
Any info on the shag carpet? no doubt, that is some serious shaggy carpet. Just screams 'nineteen-seventy-nine!" or something Nice thread. Been looking at Paul Smith boots and perhaps some lace ups and some nice thoughts here. Anyone know some wing tips as shown in black as above?- bassounds

Are most high end jeans seen on here mid-rise?
I'm 5'4" with a 27.5ish inseam, and an 8-9" rise does me good. Anyone know non-girl raw selvage jeans with something like that? PBJ xx-005 and Somet 008 slims both are great denim with a low rise. Inseams can always be hemmed. Not sure what your waist measures (more like your hips if you are...- bassounds

I see, so basically what I'm refering to is the hip bone? From what I've gathered so far the rise listed on most sites is the front of the jeans and this is what is meant by the rise? if so I'm going to go do measurements of both the front and back rises to see what they are not sure your waist...- bassounds

And this is why fat legged people shouldn't buy tapered jeans sight unseen...
Not sure what kind of denim you are looking for, but in raw denim the Atelier La Durance often work well, and the Nudie Average Joe. I'm pretty skinny though so they're too baggy a cut for me, but if I had a bigger build these would be some first choices I think.- bassounds

Jeans Shopping Suggestions For NYC?
Blue in Green is the way to go for premium denim. Also, I dont know what you're into so I will suggest Oak and Atrium too. No question, BiG is the best, hands down.- bassounds

they just turn lighter overall with no noticeable contrasts (yep -i know the drill re dry denim too). even my baggiest pair of atelier ladurance are showing more contrast in a couple of months than a year of ola. yeah, I see what you mean. my friend had bootcut ola for over a year, they faded pretty ****** what do you mean they "faded ******" ? BOLA's don't fade like RRDS, and they stretch lots, so it seems if they are not uber tight to begin with, they will not show much wear. That said, would be cool if nudie made some Ola's...- bassounds

Hi All, Looking for a new pair of highly fitted, lowrise, bootcut, and could use some pointers on brands. I'm 5'8", ~140 lbs, and thin/athletic build.
