Looking for assistance in finding durable leather boots

Thanks for the reply, those Bowery's are delicious, but yeah, far outside the budget. The shoe I pictured is casual, but I was just looking to show an example of the toe style. The bowery is actually everything I could want, just too expensive. I'll look into the other brands and see what comes...

Looking for assistance in finding durable leather boots

I'm in the market for some boots to last me the next ten years or so, with around 150 days of wear per year. My budget is $200-$450. I think my request is possible. Why am I asking a question posed quite frequently? Because most things you guys recommend have rounded toes that I really hate...

I have a jean...(The Ultimate Jean Thread For Beginners) - ask questions here.

I'm looking to buy a new pair of jeans, but I don't know what I should be looking at. I'll likely have to order online sight-unseen if I want something raw, so I'm hoping you can recommend denim that might work. I love the fit of H&M Sliq's (size 30w x 32l), but they don't make the raw ones...

yes... good one. I do. My arms suit me just fine. I guess I'm looking for brands that have small sized sleeves then?

http://www.jpeterman.com/Father-of-All-T-Shirts I lust after these shirts. I don't know why. Are there other similar things on the market you helpful folks could guide me towards?

ITT talk about how bad smoking is with no supporting evidence whatsoever

I am of the strong belief that 1-2 per week won't kill me. Granted, that is just a belief based on the fact that I enjoy smoking things and don't want to hear about any downsides that I can't immediately feel.

The gym is exactly why communism doesn't work

Communism is man's exploitation of man. Capitalism is the opposite. Genius. Who is this? Also, I go to a naval base gym. Clean and tidy. No curls in the squat rack. Have to wear a shirt though, I hate that.

What are you guys dressing up as for Halloween?

A sock monkey (a la the KIA ads). It will be fairly low quality, save for the head. I am not worried though, as l fully expect it to get puked on/in, splashed with a variety of alcohols, burned, grass stained, ripped, drawn on, and swam in. I'm looking forward to Halloween this year.

    My Condo Thread

Just don't buy Amurikan. Amurikan standards of craftsmanship let alone manufacturing are behind Chinese nowadays. I have a friend who is in remodeling his Manhattan penthouse and he cannot find anything decent, his decorator is searching for antique/vintage stuff internationally to furnish it...

What music are you listening to lately?

Harvey_birdman turned me on to Janelle Monae - The ArchAndroid, which currently has me enthralled. It's all over the place stylistically, but fantastic throughout. Found her early this summer. Good stuff. Music for me recently has been fairly eclectic: Jack Parow (don't take it seriously, but...

    Cars We Drive!

I've always wanted one of these to haul stuff around in, but I've never seen one around here that doesn't have dangerous amounts of rust (ie: you worry about going over bumps because the struts may break right through the strut towers). Nice to see one that clean! You lucky PNWers! That's a...

    The Architecture Thread

Here's more Pawson. [...] Chelsea House I know this post is fairly old, but I wanted to chime in and say that I absolutely love this. I think it is absolutely, utterly fantastic. I don't know much about architecture (yet) but I just love how it echoes older designs yet remains steadfastly...

    Looking for cheap hygiene recomendations

Seconding the dove soap. It's basic, it keeps your skin nice, and it works. Feel free to use it on your face too, it's all I use these days, along with a washcloth and some half decent shampoo.

It's quite a bit less stylish than today's thrift store finds. Oh well, my truck runs solid, is easy to work on, and cost $500.

    weight training regiment for beginner?

http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wi..._Strength_Wiki 3 days a week, a bit more in the time department, but you've got to devote some solid time if you want to lift. Excellent system though, doing it myself.
