Rock Your Socks- show your sock, shoe & pant combos

In fairness they look better on than out the box. Do you have any of the 1880 Loakes?

Rock Your Socks- show your sock, shoe & pant combos

For shirts CT are great but I've never seen the appeal of their shoes. What is it that attracts you to them? I hope that doesn't sound too blunt!! Sorry

    LOAKE APPRECIATION THREAD

I own Loake Chester, Downing and Otterburn. I'm considering the Simon, to replace my Otterburn but I'm a little hesitant about the step down to the lower range. Should I be?

As somewhat of a newbie can someone detail what my shoe care box should contain? I own smooth, grained and suede shoes. Also any recommendations for shoe trees? I've seen Langer and Messmer ones seem quite good value Trying to put an Xmas list together. Thanks!

Cool furniture, design objects and desiderata

A newbie to this thread, does or perhaps has anyone designed and made their own furniture here? I'm looking at making some simple modernist pieces out of plywood, using Sketchup and then getting it laser cut. I'm really enjoying it and I've learnt a lot so far. If people are interested I could...

    LOAKE APPRECIATION THREAD

Pulled the trigger on Chester Tan and Prestbury Mahogony Grain today, both rubber sole. I'm refusing to ever buy a leather sole again. Whether I manage to stick to this who knows! My Otterburns are pretty worn now and I'm unsure if a factory service will bring them truly back to life. The...

They do have great sentimental value, read between the lines and it will make sense.

Credit where due, Loake have offered me a replacement pair. They have turned what was starting to become a very negative experience in to a positive one! Going a few steps further than they needed to, with my particular circumstance, I'm now very happy

Further update; they contacted me at lunch time today and have offered me a replacement pair. They have turned what was starting to become a very negative experience in to a positive one! Going a few steps further than they needed to, with my particular circumstance, I'm now very happy.

    LOAKE APPRECIATION THREAD

Right, so an update on my factory repair. I complained by email last week, Thursday lunchtime. I had no response so I called yesterday Tuesday morning and it's now 24hrs later and still no response to either my call or email. Pretty poor customer service and it's starting to really affect the...

Sure, what are you shooting on firstly? Would be good to see once its clean... Edit: What I would probably recommend (if possible) is trying a polarising filter, you will lose a stop overall but it should bring more detail to the highlights.

    LOAKE APPRECIATION THREAD

This is a similar post to in the care thread but I would like a wide variety of opinion, So my Downing's came back from the factory today. Firstly it took longer than the stated time and secondly, I'm not overly impressed with what has come back. Full disclosure they are my wedding shoes and...

**The Official Shoe Care Thread: Tutorials, Photos, etc.**

So I recently sent my Loake, Downings, back to Loake for factory repair. At a cost of £75, half the price I paid for the shoes. I'm not particularly happy with the outcome, I do wonder if I'm being a little protective as these were my weddings shoes. Comments more than welcome, Some before...

    ***SW&D Photography Thread***

I hope not. Your point has an obvious paradox that if you are choosing something, that choice can be considered right or wrong. It's called opinion. As an artist failing to convey or at least to draw speculation as to the motivation for decisions you've made, is about as bad as it gets...

Also how cold does it need to be for this? I've never felt my feet were that cold in good shoes.
