     If you find 9E to pinch your toe a little, 8 in Hiro would pinch even more and 8.5 might be a little little too long and might case heel slippage.

     Take it to an alteration tailor and see what they can do. If they are willing to do it. They will take the side seam of the shirt in to eliminate the excess fabric. Remember that you need some fabric for you to sit and move comfortably. Don't take in too much.

     I would find other cut that fits you in the same or different brand. If you're muscular and well built, do look into MTM suits. If there is no other choice, size up and tailor down but that might cause more harm than good.

     Try using the contact form again. Sometimes an email gets dropped. Meermin can shipped as fast as 2-3 days after placing an order to 2 months (if they don't have the size on hand). Mine took 4 days after I paid to get the shoes which they had the size in stock.

     Looks great to me. The leather will stretch but the right side might not close to a quarter inch like what you expected. If you felt the length is just right and it fits good overall, I'd say don't worry about it.
