I haven't - I moved recently and don't have a regular tailor I trust in the area - but I'm just going to follow Greg's advice above and pass it along. Good idea, though.

I don't necessarily mind the height, but in combination with the width of the neck, it is a bit engulfing.

@gdl203/@conceptual 4est/anyone else who wants to chime in: Bit of an unusual question here. Is it possible to shrink a turtleneck's collar in a targeted way? I got one of the Chamula turtlenecks last week in an XL, and while it fits appropriately elsewhere, the neck is really large - it looks...

@spiermackay Rick, any chance that we'll see long sizes in the overcoats in the future? The polo coats this winter looked great, but the unalterable sleeve length kept me from buying. I remember you offered longs in the peacoats last winter, but maybe something kept you from doing so this year.

My green tweed was delivered today. Sorry for the crappy mirror selfie, it was the closest I could get to natural light during nighttime. The close-up shot is a bit overexposed and blurry, unfortunately. In addition to the reddish-brown threads visible in the shot, there are dark blue/purple...

Just stopped in Jackstraw again to pick up the tobacco Morgan chinos, and there's a pretty good selection of S/S stuff left, all at least 50% off. I saw two midnight Ragostas (52 and 56), a few Augustos, two denim guazy shirts and an olive one (not sure of the model, they had two chest pockets)...

@NickPollica, quick question about the Morgan chinos - are all of them supposed to have the side adjusters and suspender buttons? I tried a copper-colored pair on at Jackstraw a few weeks ago, and it didn't have those features, which I thought was strange.

Crappy mirror selfie - all Eidos, except the espadrilles.

@spiermackay, since things get buried in this thread so fast - any update on timing for the Minnis tobacco trousers?

@spiermackay, any update from the factory on the oft-delayed Minnis tobacco fresco trousers? I pre-ordered last winter planning to wear the suit for a pair of events at the end of this month, but that's starting to look difficult.

I would need the same - if the measurements on eBay are to be believed, the sleeves are 25.6" and 26" from the shoulder for the Aliano and Carlo in a 52, respectively. Those don't seem all that long to me, particularly for outerwear. Faulty measuring, perhaps?

It's worth noting that this was not always the case - I ordered a MTM suit online last year by noting fit changes from S&M's Contemporary Fit over email with Rick, à la the Kent Wang ordering process. I am quite happy with how it turned out. Perhaps they've scaled back and only do MTM orders in...

SPIER & MACKAY - Official Affiliate Thread

Hey @spiermackay, I have a few questions about MTO/MTM tailoring. 1) On the semi-recent topic of armhole height in your RTW jackets, is that something that can be increased or decreased in the MTO/MTM program? It seems fairly robust from your Instagram, but that also seems like an uncommon fit...

@eHaberdasher, the MTO jackets are half-canvassed, right? Sorry, I know you've clarified this before, but I'm having trouble finding it at the moment.

This is 106959, made by S&M last summer. I'd definitely be interested in a green fresco jacket.

Yes it does, $60 comes off automatically when you add one to your cart.
