    Flat Head Denim

Hi all, I also have this pair of FH purchased from The Flat Head store in Hiroshima (I think?) in around 2010? I obviously haven't worn them yet and the problem with having purchased a few spare pairs around 2010 is that the style has changed and I now prefer a slimmer fit (not skinny but...

    Flat Head Denim

Hey all, I purchased these RJB x The Flat Head collab's from the RJB Daikayama store in Tokyo in approx 2010. Hardly worn them but about to start the process as my main denim. I cant find out any info about them online. I assume they are unsanforized (as my other the flat head and RJB's...

Yeah, chippewa certainly dont think they should be babied and they would want to be on the safe side

The Original Chippewa Heritage Boot Line

Yeah, we have same kind of usage with boots then. I'd call it "normal" urban wear. By back country I just mean going hiking or whatever in the forest where they could get muddy, wet or covered in snow. The only thing I'd say about "normal" urban wear is that your normal is different to mine in...

The Original Chippewa Heritage Boot Line

thanks. I'm loving them thus far. Sneaker comfortable and love the look of them. Just what I was wanting out of a boot. I kinda like them looking dusty and a bit dirty and look forward to the leather aging over time. But not drying out :)

The Original Chippewa Heritage Boot Line

cheers. Cool, I'll keep the laces tight and wear thicker socks where possible (or as thick as my feet can handle as it gets hot here so properly thick socks are often not possible). I'll see if it improves at all over time. I tried insole but it makes it too squishy. I have heel pads that I'll...

From what I can tell it depends on the boot & leather type, how you will use it (important) and your preference visually. Seems like many products can darken the leather slightly (some significantly and some returns to normal after a day or so). Many say apply something to protect them from the...

The Original Chippewa Heritage Boot Line

Got a question for you all re inserts when a boot is slightly too large. I am sz 11 sneakers but got sz 10.5 chipps (plain toe wedge). I should have gotten a 10 as I'm getting heel slip (maybe even a 9.5 but that seems a concern re width as I have slightly wide feet). Width is good and there's...

How to Finally Wash Raw Denim?

Thought I'd share some pics of the results of my 2nd wash (not because they turned out great, just out of interest). I must admit I'm pretty disappointed in the contrast fading and results! I was expecting greater honeycombing and fading on the front. Maybe I needed to keep them going for...

The Original Chippewa Heritage Boot Line

I don't have them, but as you know, Cordovan is a "rich shade of burgundy and a dark shade of rose" so they should have a bit of red in them. It's obviously a matter of personal taste but I think you made the right call with the crazy horse :) Maybe get both :) The cordovan is nice! I'm kinda...

The Original Chippewa Heritage Boot Line

Thanks. agreed, I love the contrast stitching and the sole is another reason I loved them to start with (although not too sure about the sprung toe part?? It actually looks more pronounced than others I've seen on the net). Yeah, they dont seem to need anything done to them yet. I loved this...

The Original Chippewa Heritage Boot Line

Thought I'd share a few pics of my Chippewa Crazy Horse plain toe wedge's. Only been wearing them in for a day but very comfortable thus far. They will look even better when worn in and the sole gets a bit dirty. FYI, Haven't applied anything to them yet.

btw, Snake Oil Provisions are awesome! They know their stuff and are passionate about it. I was upfront and told them I was deciding between a boot they sold and one someone else sold and they still gave heaps of sizing advice.

No expert, and I cant see if the SOP shoe has the embossed logo, but the amazon one doesn't look cordovan. I think the image is incorrect.

Nice. I assume the shine will also dull a bit over time. I know what you mean by waxy. the whole boot has a waxy look to it to start with. Did you do it to waterproof it before 1st wear?
