You will most likely want to size down 1/2 a size, I wear 12 in the Strand and 11 1/2 in the McTavish and they fit about the same.- Kave

I went down 1/2 size in mine and while they fit pretty well I think I would have rather gotten my normal size. They are definately a bit larger then other 5 last shoes however.- Kave

It could be seperating or it could just be an issue with the fit not being right. Either way if you have worn them you are not going to be able to return them since they are factory seconds. So at this point you just wear them and assume no issues will arise, when you go to resole them the issue...- Kave

Does anyone notice that some of the Brooks Brother models have more heel rise then their regular Allen Edmonds counterparts? I am assuming it could be due to the smooth insole? I have a pair of Strands in each brand and while they both fit great on the Brooks Brothers Strands I notice my heel...- Kave
