Im not comparing Guidi to a small manufacturer shoe maker like say James Kerns and im not sure how long it takes to make a pair of their boots I honestly dont think we should start reducing the price of goods to simply Materials costs + time taken to makw product. I dont know how long it takes to make the boots, but aesthetics is a central aspect of many artisanal brands. The value is not always found in the Materials or the construction, but look and design of the products. then consider that artisanal products are made in generally smaller quantities...- Zamb
