I'm sorry I didn't mean to make it seem VC funded start ups meant higher success rate. I meant VC funded start ups are willing to pay you more, and sometimes more than larger companies. I've worked for a few startups in NYC where a lot of venture funded starts up are (not as much as CA). I've also interviewed with a few, I highly suggest working for one at least once in your life. Yep, I know what you mean. You get comfortable doing work in PJs and then gotta get suited up for a work environment. It does have its benefits but I understand what you mean. I mix work with personal life a lot and schedule is sometimes funky when I have to work at like 1AM.- willny

It boils down to productivity. I let some employees work from home and my contract/part time job allows me to telecommute. As long as the individual is productive and meets deadlines, I think it is ok to work from home. For larger companies like Yahoo, I believe they should've let each...- willny

How to ask for a raise?
When you have a meeting, grab your manager/director and let them know if you can speak to them momentarily about your position there. When you meet with them just let them know how you've been working and what you've done to warrant a raise. If yu.ou deserve a raise, I don't see how they could...- willny
