Just twiddling my thumbs waiting on the navy hopsack jacket. Bonobos' lapels were too small and for $400 SuitSupply was meh.

I'm hoping a light grey fresco in 30 contemporary shows up soon. So happy these have side tabs. Now if they offer a matching jacket with a center vent, I'll be throwing fistfuls of money.

I wish there were more tweed at the $120 price point than just the Loden Green. Looking for a plain brown or grey without the overcheck.

Ordering Indochino from their store - what's the odds they will mess it UP?

I tried Indochino for the same reason: in-store measurements. It was still a disaster. First suit was awful. Went back to Indochino and explained what needed to be different. Second suit was awful. At least they have a generous refund policy.

Frugality (aka no money) and Menswear

There are quite a few members here who shop in a price bracket I can't. Fortunately, you can still get quality at lower prices. Here's an example. A lot of guys here will post their Crockett & Jones or Church's chukkas. Both great brands and great shoes. But there are very good alternatives for...

The great twill versus broadcloth/poplin debate rages on. I can never get a broadcloth shirt to lay flat around the collar and the placket. Twill drapes much better. But twill is too bloody shiny.

Anyone know the back rise on the contemporary fit 30 and 32?

٭٭٭ No Man Walks Alone - Official Affiliate Thread ٭٭٭ (a.k.a. I shouldn't have slept on it)

Yeah I found that a few weeks ago when it was $100 off. Huge letdown when they were sold out of my size.

Please tell me where I can find a thick shawl cardigan available in navy. They seem maddeningly rare this season.

I think it would fit better if you improve your posture. Not something most people consider when trying on a suit. Looks like your shoulders are hunched forward and your pelvis is tilted forward. Very common since we all sit in chairs all day. Pinch your shoulder blades together and push your...

The best thing to come from getting MTM shirts is now I really know my size. If/when Spier & Mackay offers one that closely matches my measurements, I'll jump on it. I'm looking forward to the expanded shirt options.

    Best Underwear You've Worn?

I think I know exactly the type you're talking about. I wore them for years but they changed the styling and made the inseam longer. I currently wear these Calvin Klein low rise trunks and I'm very happy with them. The cuff around the thigh is very thin and has very little elastic. But the...

I still think the jackets would benefit from an extra 1/2" of fabric. Not just for overall length, but for balance. I like the button stance. Not as high as some other brands. But it needs a little more fabric from the top button down to balance it out.

That air force blue is the ****. But $400 is too rich for my blood for a casual blazer. I want a hopsack for summer, but something brighter than navy. Just a suggestion: https://vitalebarberiscanonico.com/fabrics/10-712-334/

Proper Cloth - Official Affiliate Thread

I guess I'll disagree then. I have an athletic build and I always find small arm holes to look/fit odd. But I also dislike very slim fits. The tailored arm holes gave me a cleaner look without sacrificing comfort. Perhaps they need a third arm hole option.

The 20% discount is giving me a really itchy trigger finger with the VBC Navy Hopsack blazer. Somebody stop me before I buy again. I'm normally a 38S but the jacket seems a little short and the button stance a little high (the style the last several years). But a 38R might just do the trick.

Will the polos be restocked this year or should I wait until spring? Heard excellent things about the shirt collars.

    Charles Tyrwhitt Reviews and Fitting

Anyone have experience with their knitwear? I'm eyeing their new navy shawl cardigan. I have 18" shoulders, 38-39" chest and 31" waist. Curious if I should choose small or medium. And interested in your overall experiences with fit and quality...
