    To update the thread... The Drake's team relented and provided a one-time full refund including the taxes after some polite pushing on the subject. Their communication throughout the process was superb. I can't say they understood the inconvenience or indicated any improvements in the process...

    Thanks! I have caught and released chore jackets from the French makers as I found sizing a struggle. I hear ya on the compromise. There's a lot of instances where their items are white labelled so I thought I'd check. Ultimately, I might just need to save my pennies for a used Drake's!

    I used Ben back in the day (the flip a cuff to show off the selvedge days) and he did an impressive job. To my knowledge he stopping doing alterations a while back. I've used Frank the Denim Doctor multiple times and he's done excellent work on blowouts and alternations on heavy selvedge denim.

    Unfortunately, your pooched. The buyer should have marked them as a return. You can pay the duties and use the eBay return documentation to request a refund from CBSA. It'll take a while to get your money but you eventually will.
