The same size. The salesman told me that the Havana and the Washington were very similar cuts, and a 40L of both fit me almost perfectly.

    Italian conservative business dress

Excuse the silly question, I'm just learning: what really is the difference between Italian and American, or English conservative business dress? I don't really know enough of the details to be able to understand that (except that I love the Italian look).

I think the original complaint was that the jacket was too long, but the sleeves were too short. The short jacket trend, as long as I can get long enough sleeves, is great for me. I'm 6'6" with very long arms, but I have a very short torso, so many longer, more conservative jackets look silly...

Wear jeans with or without a belt?

I've always got to wear a belt. Even 32/36s always end up being a little slouchy after a little while, and I need something to hold them up.

Wear the tux, and look good. With a real bowtie, naturally.

Advice needed on my wedding tuxedo! Please help

My understanding is that the lapel is faced in satin, but not the collar, unless you are doing shawl collar, in which case it's all faced.

To the SFers that don't work in a field which requires suit and tie: When do you actually wear your

I'm a singer. In my dayjob I bartend, and wear blacks (chinos/collared shirt), but I wear suits for the gigs I pick up: either concerts, weddings, or funerals. I also wear suits for auditions. This is a little peculiar to the classical/operatic world, as this certainly is not the norm in musical...

FRIDAY CHALLENGE 20140307: DocHolliday's White Shirt Blues

Well, my picture is terrible, just a snapshot as I got to work. CT shirt Suitsupply RL tie of indeterminate vintage.

What do you think of these Cheaney seconds ?

I really like them. Right now they look a little patchy (although not bad), but I think with some wear and a few more polishes, they will look really fantastic. But I'm not the guy to ask about shoes.

FRIDAY CHALLENGE 20140307: DocHolliday's White Shirt Blues

I'm familiar with it, although I think it has a different name when it's exported. I agree with you as far as modern hats go (and I'm well familiar with the conversations at the Lounge), I've got a Squatter myself, and wouldn't mind a Campdraft in Moonstone if I ever have the extra money.

That Akubra is gorgeous. Which model is that? I would have guessed it was a vintage Borsalino if you hadn't labeled it.

FRIDAY CHALLENGE 20140307: DocHolliday's White Shirt Blues

I'm picking up my new suit Friday as well, and I like my favorite white shirt as well. I think I'll go for it.
