Italian conservative business dress
Excuse the silly question, I'm just learning: what really is the difference between Italian and American, or English conservative business dress? I don't really know enough of the details to be able to understand that (except that I love the Italian look).- Danleyness

I think the original complaint was that the jacket was too long, but the sleeves were too short. The short jacket trend, as long as I can get long enough sleeves, is great for me. I'm 6'6" with very long arms, but I have a very short torso, so many longer, more conservative jackets look silly...- Danleyness

I'm a singer. In my dayjob I bartend, and wear blacks (chinos/collared shirt), but I wear suits for the gigs I pick up: either concerts, weddings, or funerals. I also wear suits for auditions. This is a little peculiar to the classical/operatic world, as this certainly is not the norm in musical...- Danleyness

What do you think of these Cheaney seconds ?
I really like them. Right now they look a little patchy (although not bad), but I think with some wear and a few more polishes, they will look really fantastic. But I'm not the guy to ask about shoes.- Danleyness

I'm familiar with it, although I think it has a different name when it's exported. I agree with you as far as modern hats go (and I'm well familiar with the conversations at the Lounge), I've got a Squatter myself, and wouldn't mind a Campdraft in Moonstone if I ever have the extra money.- Danleyness
