HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part IV (starting May 2014)

The colour and pattern of suit and hank are too close in my opinion. Plus, the suit might work even better with a light blue shirt.

Yep! And indeed, the watch and the then wearer are survivors of a parachute exit.

My 1970 Speedy enjoying some sun. This piece had to take quite a bit of beating. Originally bought in the US near a military airbase by somebody close to me who happened to enjoy a Starfighter flight training at the time. On my wrist when things call for a watch that can take on a bit and beyond.

    OFFICIAL Simon Crompton thread (PermanentStyle.com)

I find it funny how people get so upset with what other people in their or just any community do or don't do. On a separate note: can anyone explain the concept of cultural appropriation to me in simple terms? I tried to get my head around it and have no idea what exactly that should be other...

    OFFICIAL Simon Crompton thread (PermanentStyle.com)

"Free speech and all..." seems to justify about anything these days. Some opinions are just best be kept by oneself. It usually reflects more on the writer than oth the person assaulted. While I do not agree with everything Mr. Crompton says and does, I find his articles informative and his...

Next time around give me a ping. I know the people there and used to live nearby. I am there every few weeks for business. You'll have it back in a few weeks (about 4-6). Probably at a fraction of the cost.

    Would you return this item?

Well, he bought iz with a steep discount and the flaw was probably produced at the shop who sold it rather than Zegna. They would not ship anything with the slightest of flaws since they know their customers would noz tolerate that. The OP probably bought something wizh a minor flaw at huge...

    Would you return this item?

I assume, the discount was due to the defect. Why else would you get something below manufacturers price? That is such and easy fix abd certainly gas nothing to do with quality or QC from the manufacturer but probably bad handling by the shop that sold the item. Or maybe a customer tried it on...

Hey I sold abd bought on chrono24. Excellent service for both sides incl assistance via phone or chat, if required. Very knowlegable staff and helpful. Would always prefer over ebay. But ebay has no commission anymore for non-professional sellers.

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

You have a point about "feeling safe" vs Safety statistics. But the only reliable info is statistics. While London might be a case in point it is not part of the EU (anymore). Btt, which is watches. So how is the US market currently for swiss luxury? Same price decline as in Europe but still...

That was back in the days when thiefs where picky. But truth is also, Tudors inhouse movements are some of the best you can buy in terms of reliability. Not a fan of their current lineup though, but a 1990s Big Block is a cool tool, way better than those flimsy bling bling Daytonas currently...

Maybe I'll change the strap for black croc. But happy with this beauty. The curved design is so comfortable and even the GP folding clasp doesn't pinch anywhere unlike most others I had.
