Need a nice suit for my wedding in Chicago

Another option is to scour Gilt City as they'll sometimes have promotions from different MTM or Bespoke shops (also it's great for trying out new restaurants).

Need help regarding wedding tuxedos! Thanks

I have a couple of questions: Budget, does that include shirt, shoes, tie, waist covering, etc? What time of day? Actual venue? If you'll be outside, you'll want a partial lined jacket. Personally, I went MTM and I'd advise the same. However, SuitSupply would be my choice from your options.

Thanks. Yeah, Midnight Blue. I've never been a fan of black.

    Chicago

One thing I love which seems baller, but is actually really affordable is taking the water taxi from the mag mile to Chinatown for dim sum / exploring Chinatown then taking the boat back. Dim sum is cheap, good and fills you up. Expect to pay $10 per person.

    Help! Suit sleeve problems

I think the best option is to add a button at the bottom. Another option is to have your tailor take a small section of that fabric from somewhere and cover the button hole, then move the button down.

    Kent Wang - Affiliate thread

I agree, I wear XS and the small polo was a size too big. I think the actual measurements listed on the site is pretty accurate.

Wedding Attire - Thinking of breaking a few rules.

@tcrimsonk 1 - Don't get an odd vest. It's like wearing navy dress pants with a Navy Blazer and calling it a suit. But if you truly want a vest, then so be it and get it. I mean, your future wife is already destroying rules, so why not get a slightly odd color vest? 2 - Although ivory is...

*pics* Critique my new tailored suits, how to make them pimp?

@MrOhYes Before you go out and buy another suit, I'd suggest you really think about what you're looking for. If you want a fashion suit to go party in, I wouldn't spend much on it. You probably would not keep it or wear it more than 2 years. And given the party atmosphere, there's a higher...

    Official Wedding Attire Question/Answer/Picture Thread

If you want to stick to a fabric you'd use more often, I'd either say cotton (non-seersucker and also assuming whipcord is out too) or summer weight wool/wool blends with an open weave fabric. To maximize the use, a khaki suit can be broken up so you can wear each on their own. Just the...

    Official Wedding Attire Question/Answer/Picture Thread

First, I would try to find out what their budget is, as I'm assuming you're not buying for them. You could have them go to suitsupply or Benjamin suits from the sf affiliate vendor ehaberdasher. Both offer good value. However, I'm sorry but black and orange? Is the wedding in October too?

New Neckwear startups -- are they legit?

I bought a couple of ties from General Knot. I love the fabrics and design combinations they use on their ties. They recently started making the skinny ties, which I'm not a fan of but their standard tie width is 2 7/8", which is the sweet spot for me. The ties form good knots with a dimple...

    First suit purchase please read

You can try suitsupply (starting $439), they have several different cuts to suit your needs. They also have the MTM program, starting with the Blue line ($599 and up) which feels more like MTO with your choice of fabrics. The Blue line only does minor alterations (waist, seat, sleeves etc.)...

    Where to buy?

Yes. Your only options new OTR are H&M, Uniqlo, Zara, Topman, and maybe a few other fast fashion stores. For quality, all of those places will be mediocre at best and should not be considered longer than the near future (also they're more trendy and will look out of date). $200-300 on a suit...

    Where to buy?

First, we need to know your budget. Second, it's going to be hard to find a suit that fits you nicely OTR from the brief description of yourself (tall and very skinny). I'm about 5'7" at 125lbs and it's hard enough to find suits that fit me (34R). Really, it's going to be hard to find a suit...

    Narrow shoulders

Having a tailor shorten the shoulders is just not worth it. It looks like your only options are: 1. Find a brand/designer/clothing line that makes narrow shoulders. 2. MTM. 3. Go to the gym and start working out your shoulders. I don't know what else you can do.

    Slim-Fitting Suits for Short Men

I'm about 5'6"-5'7" @ 127lbs. so I know your pain. For finding suits/jackets that fit me is a real challenge. I would say I'm a good size 34. For a poor college kid needing a cheap suit, the best fit for me is Topman. Although their quality department is lacking (all polyester...
