Shoulder ripples on MTM Samuelsohn - can/should I send it back?

Thanks AI and others who replied. I actually did not know about HR's guarantee, which seems quite unequivocal: 100% satisfaction guaranteed (within reason). In this case I am definitely not satisfied and it sounds like others agree it's reasonable to expect better. AI, I too think it must...

Shoulder ripples on MTM Samuelsohn - can/should I send it back?

Hi guys, Bit of a weird phenomenon on my 3rd made-to-measure Samuelsohn suit under Canadian haberdasher Harry Rosen's JP Tilford imprint. The first two turned out great, and this one is also fantastic except for what you see in the pictures below: unsightly ripples along the shoulders. I tried...

TOJ - updates on the debacle, complaints, news about other ventures, whatever.

Can everyone who doesn't have a jacket on order go do something more productive with their time? We're trying to resolve this. @kasper007, are you thinking South Korean police or our own individual city polices departments or...?

TOJ - updates on the debacle, complaints, news about other ventures, whatever.

I finally submitted a Paypal complaint. I had previously contacted Visa but they told me there was nothing they could do. I called again today and asked to be escalated to a case manager, and after a long time on hold she told me that since the original transaction was more than 490 days ago...

To all those suggesting chargebacks, I suspect it's not possible for the vast majority of people. I called my bank and they say it's way past the deadline--I would have had to notify them within 75 days of the originally proposed delivery time. So, chargebacks are out. Where does this leave us...

No one's saying we can't pursue both strategies--everything you mentioned are good ideas too. Let's just use all the tools at our disposal. And starting with a letter, as others have suggested, is a good first step that keeps things less confrontational. No one's talking about extradition, but...

TOJ - updates on the debacle, complaints, news about other ventures, whatever.

I haven't been following this thread closely, but I too am waiting for a jacket (TOJ0, September 2013). There's probably plenty of lurkers like me who are waiting on jackets. I've been content to wait this out since I didn't feel like there was anything I could do, but some of the ideas recently...

    Fall 2014 Flannels and Tweeds.

I ended up opting for 14oz charcoal chalk stripe from Hardy Minnis, should be good.

    Kent Wang - Affiliate thread

So for my third KW suit I've ordered some 14oz Minnis flannel in a charcoal chalk stripe that KW will be making CMT for me. I'm hoping to create something like what you see here on Lee Marvin: Any advice on the configuration? I'm thinking double-breasted, wide lapel, roped shoulder, jetted...

    Fall 2014 Flannels and Tweeds.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but can anyone weigh in on the merits of different weights of flannels? I'm looking at getting a MTM Samuelsohn/JP Tilford flannel suit, but almost all of the flannels they have (including those Dormeuil ice fabrics) are in the 11oz range. My...

One year anniversary on my TOJ0 coming up soon, was really hoping I'd have it in time for fall.... On another note--and sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere in the thread--what other brands should I be looking at for leather jackets? So far all that's really come across my radar are the...

    Kent Wang - Affiliate thread

Thanks to those of you who chimed in with your thoughts on the issue I had with the shoes. Rather than go through the trouble of sending them back, I worked something out with Kent. As usual, the customer service at Kent Wang is superlative. I think they must be quite busy indeed as my size of...

    Kent Wang - Affiliate thread

I've got the same shoes and a black grenadine on the way too...CAN'T WAIT Edit: Just picked them up from the post office. They are indeed amazing shoes--almost perfect. I feel a bit churlish pointing this out, but i notice the "toe cap-line" (not sure what it's really called) on the left shoe...

    Suitsupply NYC

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I spoke with customer service but they don't have the thigh measurements either. I'm gonna try a 40R in the Napoli and maybe spring for a Sienna and hope that works. I looked at the pant waist size for the napoli in 38L, but it's actually .8 inches smaller than...

    Suitsupply NYC

So I followed the size advisor, which I now see was dumb. This 38R Napoli is a good deal too small for me and I'll have to return it. From what I can tell, the shoulders are good, but the button point is a bit tight, and the sleeves are 1-1.5 inches short, which thanks to the surgeons cuffs...

    E.G. Cappelli Store now LIVE!

Just a heads up to fellow Canadians planning on making an order: I got hit with a $120 tax/duty bill (on $350 worth of ties...). I thought it was an error but I checked the cbsa calculator and I guess we just have ridiculous tariffs on apparel. :censored: Well, yet another reason to plan a trip...

    E.G. Cappelli Store now LIVE!

I didn't see mention of this anywhere else, so please note that the "buy five for free shipping" deal does not apply to Outlet ties. I asked about it at checkout since I didn't see any discount applied to my order, and Patrizio was kind enough (too kind, really!) to refund my shipping but add a...

Ask A Question, Get An Answer... - Post All Quick Questions Here (Classic menswear)

Thanks for taking the time to reply. This may be it as there is indeed some neck roll and when I pull the jacket taut at the back, it diminishes the bulge/ripple. And in fact, after a day of hanging, the ripple is less noticeable. I'll take it to the tailor this weekend and see if he can...
