    Dunhill MTM review

Believe it or not, I literally don't have a mirror suitable to take any!! No idea what the fit is called. Just picked it out of the book. It was the "middle" structured shoulder one-there were 3 levels of padding.

Here in Japan about 15% less than the equivalent Zegna I'd say. I paid about 7k USD for a 3 piece - that was about 2k more than it needed to be though, due to the fabric selected.

That's often not a very good strategy for investment though. First rule of buying rental properties: don't buy something YOU'D like to live in, buy something that OTHER PEOPLE will want to live in...

I'd never try to gain that knowledge myself - I don't really have the interest or time. I'd be more inclined to find someone who has it already and pay THEM to point me in the right directions.

Guess I'm going to have to adapt my car buying motto "buying a car with resale in mind is a good way to end up with a car you don't love" to also cover watches!

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

I have portfolios in various fields, just looking at more tangible assets. I'm fairly good at picking cars that appreciate, would have no idea on watches. I would have no intention of buying watches for myself and hoping they go up, I'm talking about treating them like any other commodity...

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

That was an exceptional explanation, well done. I am far more into clothes and cars than watches specifically, and so while I own a few fairly expensive watches that I bought new, they are mainly purchased to go with the rest of it all. I'm starting to look at, in the interests of diversifying...

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

Yep I suppose I'd agree with that. It was just the notion that you can reasonably buy a watch either new or second hand and expect it to actually appreciate in value, without being particularly careful in your choice, or particularly lucky that I was questioning. Either way, I spend even more...

Surely that really only applies in most cases to watches purchased second hand?

Also it looks like there's a lot of second hand buyers on here? Once again, not something you see so much in the clothes sections.

Me too. Well, been lurking for ages, but just decided to start contributing a bit. Yeah, a lot of Rolex in here. I even posted mine...

    Connected 45, with/without Calibre 5 module. Titanium/ceramic.

Really? That's fun, especially considering how cumbersome it is to link to media galleries on here. Imgur it is I guess! Tag and Rolex.

One of the few tags I would describe as properly "nice". Calibre 36 Flyback Titanium Racing. Anyone have experience? Opinions? Tends to confuse the hell out of a lot of "watch people" when they check it out. I love this thing. DSC_0752 by Wolfman101 posted May 3, 2017 at 6:16 AMDSC_0753 by...
