    E is standard fit for brands such as Crockett & Jones and Edward Green. Cheaney, Loake and others use F to denominate their standard widths. They are both equivalent to a US D width I believe.

    If you can still get them, the Alfred Sargent Armfield is a good choice. Some nicer details than on the C&J for a comparable price.

    I have the Hallam, but it's probably my least favourite shoe from C&J. It's too 'sleek' for my liking but it's a well made quality shoe. If you're happy with the last either would be a good choice.

    Both fine makers of shoes, but of those two examples, I'd go for the Crockett & Jones model. The Carmina shoe looks like something a French male prostitute would wear.
