Sorry for beating a dead horse, but is it really true that Achilles Retros have a roomier toe area than regular Achilles? Currently own a regular Achilles low in 41 and they are quite snug (squeezed pinky) because wide feet. I had a 42 Retro but had to sell because heel slip and my feet were...- typericey

White Achilles lows delivered by DHL today in size 41. Fits perfect lengthwise but tight with regard to width as I have wide feet. Really close to copping but I can't decide between the white and navy (1997) Achilles. As I type, I'm feeling the navy one a tad more than the white. My biggest hesitation on the white is it's a pain to keep clean. I've seen a stranger with what seems to be a well worn pair of whites and IMO...- typericey

Not sure if this has been asked and answered before but... Are all the Achilles low models (that are not suede, grained, textured, etc.) made with Nappa leather uppers? I'm specifically interested in the tonal white (1528 0506) and the tonal Navy (1528 1977) models.- typericey

I'm definitely not an RRL expert but I saw them live at Stag Provisions, Venice while on vacation and fell in love with them. My biggest regret was not fitting them at the time, hence my query. There is also a "Once-Washed" version on the RRL website which might even be better as I assume it...- typericey

That is correct, Dario65. Here they are again worn for the first time and taken under a midday sun. These photos represent the color more accurately. @smfdoc the red Dainite is the default sole for this style/color. I love 'em and the wife thinks they're great too.- typericey
