Shoemaking Techniques and Traditions--"...these foolish things..."

I had a similar question, I have a last with a metal heel plate, which nails or tacks do I use? will clinching nails come out after clinching? Did it take prices of leather with it when and if you managed to remove them?

Tricker's outlet website ships outside the UK, you can get shoes there for 200 gbp which is around half price.

OK so i can polish with wax then? Will the softness of the unlined leather not make the wax crack? I paid 139.99 gbp from the tkmaxx website.

Offical TRICKERS shoes and boots thread

I have some unlined leather loafers, the model is called Adam. Usually Adam is unline suede but I found unlined leather ones in tk maxx, I was wondering can you wax polish unlined leather considering it's very soft due to no lining?

That's a shame, I've seen, cheaney as well as trickers in tkmaxx Actually it's just the left foot which is a weird fit, the right foot is ok

I have the Adam loafer and it would have fit better if I went half size down, this is because its unlined I think. If it were lined then the size would have been perfect I think. I got it from tkmaxx website so couldn't try it on.

I put in insole in and it fixed the problem.

    Allen Edmonds Ankle Bulge... SOLVED.

Thanks a lot, I'll try this when I get home, I really hope it works, I like the trickers shoes I got and do t want to return them. I'll put a pair of socks in the shoe like an insole, or an actual insole and stand up.
