Thanks for the feedback CEP! I'll book an appointment and see how things go. No issues being more expensive than Bale shirting if I can get a decent fit. Last time in Bale nothing quite worked right so they suggested getting shirts altered. I figured for that it's close enough to MTM territory...- smeggett

So, in a moment of great rarity I'm going to be in Sydney conservative business dress for work in May with a few hours to spare if I play my cards right. Planning on hitting up SuSu to get a measure on their standard suiting range (Havana block from memory) and see how it fits. Hopefully no alterations required, but...- smeggett

Thanks for the heads-up/reminder on Kamakura. I need some new shirts and a recent trip to MJ Bale left me more than underwhelmed (mainly the staff more interested in talking to one another than seeing how the fit worked). They did suggest I could get their shirts tailored which basically puts...- smeggett

Hmmm, I just roll with the tux (dinner suit??), and a pair of cap-toes (black C&J Hallams) Its a peak lapel number, with the stripes on the trousers. Works for me without being OTT.- smeggett

I would... and did. Bought a tux from SuSu when I realised I would be wearing one 6-8 times a year for various dinners. Can't recall the price, but it was of that order and I'm bloody glad I did - its had plenty of use!- smeggett

Have 2 suits from PJ Johnson and 1 from OH. First suit from PJ was measured up by Patrick in the early days in Adelaide (out of his Mum's apartment IIRC). It was a pleasure to discuss the options with Patrick and work out what I was looking for, etc. Definitely rated that experience. Second PJ...- smeggett

I'll second SuSu for a tux - picked up one from them a few years back and the fit was as advertised - if I was to pick anything, there could have been a little more waist suppression for my build, but that's it.- smeggett

Just out of interest, where did you get the collars replaced? I have 2 Ascot Chang shirts which have work through the collars, but the rest of shirt is showing bugger-all signs of wear.- smeggett
