I'm not sure what's with the animosity towards me and my clothing. I only use Styleforum in a personal capacity and post for the enjoyment of clothing/tailoring. I try to pick something that won't be distracting, but still visually interesting. For me this ends up being tones of navy or burgundy in either textured solids or block/repp stripes.- ruvort

Loafer velvet with a suit???
In my opinion, velvet shoes such as this are really meant to be house shoes and would not be appropriate anywhere else.- ruvort

These are pleated trousers, so wearing with suspenders should be a give in. I would also argue that once one has a stomach, it should never be protruding over the waistband. To each their own though. Just trying to give constructive feedback to try and help someone look their best.- ruvort
