    Traveling tailors and pricing

Thanks - I did contact the tailor (Jack's Custom Tailors from Singapore) and was waiting for a response, but I wanted to get a sense of what typical pricing might be to compare it against. I am not looking for how much this particular tailor's prices may have changed. Rather, just a range for...

    Traveling tailors and pricing

Hi, I am considering working with a traveling tailor from Singapore who comes highly recommended from a friend. But I am trying to get a sense of what to expect for pricing for a bespoke suit using a high-end fabric (Zegna, Holland & Sherry, Scabal). I have searched for prior posts on this...

The Definitive Thread on Wool Pilling

So, any suggestions on how to remove the pills effectively? I have tried those pill combs and shavers, and they haven't done very much. Low return on time investment.

The New Official Wolf vs. Goat Thread

Can anyone tell me which color is brighter: Dewberry or Blueberry? The BD blueberry looks brighter than the AD blueberry and the AD dewberry looks brighter than the BD dewberry. Is that right? I would think they are the same color, but obviously it could be the photo or my monitor. Thanks.

The New Official Wolf vs. Goat Thread

Just ordered the UD deal in the blue flannel - went with a L because the chest and shoulder measurements are right, but I am worried about the sleeves being too long ... Hope it works out

    NDC shoes - quality?

Can anyone share their experience with NDC shoes? I like the look of some of them with jeans or casual pants, but I want to be sure they're not going to come apart quickly. Thanks

Tailor's touch in Chicago: Crappy service, crappier work

I also recommend Maria at Golden Needle - expensive, but great work. I also like Nick at Nikiforos Tailors in the Loop - a little gruff, but knows his stuff. I think he too has been recommended on SF.

    Tailoring narrow pants

I recently purchased a suit on B&S, and the pants are a little narrower than I expected them to be at the bottom. The leg opening is about 7.4", and I am 5' 10" tall and wear a size 10US shoes. So, I am concerned that they look a little too slim, especially for a suit. Is there anything a tailor...

Bell & Ross: Opinions, owner feedback perhaps?

I have both a B&R Type Demineur and a Vintage 123 (brown strap with champagne face), and I like both of them quite a lot. The Type Demineur is a great casual watch that has an excellent feel and just the right amount of "chunkiness" imho, without looking too showy. The Vintage 123 is a classic...

Opinions On The Brand Ted Baker [Pics Of Event/Follow-Up]

I have a couple of shirts that I like a lot. Nice patterns, decently made, and a more tailored/slim fit. I also have a moleskin 3/4 car coat that I love. Purchased at Century 21, so it was worth it at those prices.

Did anyone buy the Greenfield suits on Gilt?

Yes, but a prior discussion of the sale created a lot of tumult about buying a suit made especially for Gilt. why would someone be afraid to admit to it? He is a respected tailor, no?

Did anyone buy the Greenfield suits on Gilt?

If you bought one of the Greenfield suits on Gilt last week (and will admit it!), please let us know what the quality is like in case they come back around again. Thanks.

    How much for working buttonholes

Chicago Huh? OP, where are you located? This is a major factor in tailor prices.

    How much for working buttonholes

I'm not sure Shakespeare faced this issue, but thanks for that anyway. I did this. Yet still could not attain the utmost round, nor scorn the base degrees from which I did ascend. Lear
