    My reference for a tts balmacaan (SEH Kelly) has a chest of 21" - 24" in S - XL respectively and a length of ~40". The Document bal has a chest of 24.5" - 27.5" and a length of ~43" in the same sizes. So I would say go with your typical letter size.

    I'm here trying to remember what the measurements were on the site for my tropical wool SB3 jacket as I'm thinking about the new SB jacket and the measurements of that seem like a size smaller or so than the SB3. Am I at all on the right track here Paul?

    I got mine based on chest measurement. It's fitted, with room for all but the thickest knitwear. I would think you would loose some of the waist suppression by going up a size which might or might not be what you want. I think the photos on the site illustrate this fairly well.

    I actually find the dress trousers quite casual looking when a sweater covers the high waist and much of the pleats, even in the gray high twist wool that I have mine in. The roomy upper block and fairly slim lower leg does it I think, and not having a crease. Having a shirt tucked in is...

    Would it be unbearably scratchy as a field shirt? I'm still a bit sad that I missed the linen burlap ones, so this would make up for it nicely :)

    Thank you for the heads up, got them. About the balmacaans, are forest green and loch blue the colors this year, or is there something else to come?
