Well that's the EU ballpark price. Ranges from $965 to $1555 for cordovan. You guys might get taxed less when they export them to USA. I can't fault the quality or the workmanship...

Who among us can afford €1300 for a new pair of shoes? I never bought pre-loved shoes before, but the quality is definitely there. Heinreich Dinkelacker, made in Budapest, now I’m on the lookout for a black pair.

Thanks Satoman1, it looks like you have to go up half a size for Florsheim. The style is Grafton, but they are pre Milan on the insole so probably 25(?) years old. Have you ever tried or do you own any made on the 73 last?

Sorry forgot to mention the last, fairly sure it's 73. Thanks for the reply.

I'm looking at buying a pair of Church's online. I've never owned a pair before, does anyone know how generous the sizing is? I'm more concerned about width than the length. They are F width fitting and 9.5 UK.

I think they were made in Dublin, Ireland before the mid 1980's.

All of mine are second hand, I just spent over €200 relining the oldest one. Mad I know but it’s a black international with one Royal warrant. Not sure how old it is. Perhaps purple label knows. My guess is 1970s. Personally I think the older ones were better made, can’t really compare though...

Blasphemy of the highest order. I believe penny’s or primark do a Barbour style jacket too.

Do you ever want to wear a sweater under it? I always prefer a bigger size.

Probably a Beaufort so, if it’s heavy it’s a Moorland.
