Pic: Where can i find a simillar shirt?

Is there a Billy Reid near you? I have several button down collar shirts from last year and this year's Spring line that have that shallower collar. They're also fairly slim fitting. You may be able to find some on sale; I know my store still has a few on the rack.

ebay suits, sportcoats, and other clothing

I e-mailed the bastard saying "you know it's not a real zegna, but just zegna cloth" and he answered "yes." Is this not made more complicated by the fact that some "real" Zegna clothing was made in Mexico for a bit? I don't know if the Z-Zegna stuff is still made there (or at all) or not, but...

Recommendations for suede brogue bal with dainite sole?

Not a balmoral, of course, but if you're looking for a casual suede wingtip, and if you can still get them in your size, these Polo Kenley wingtips are a reasonably good deal at the price Grapevinehill has them going for now on Ebay- about $100. They're whatever the made-in-Italy take on Dainite...

    Any experience with XMI ties?

Pay attention to where they're made. I have several made in the USA that are beautiful, heavy silk, tie great knots. Some of the ones made in China appear to be of substantially lower quality. I don't enough about the lines- XMI, XMI Platinum, whatever- to know the absolute rule about what's...

    "Outing" Sales Channels.

Is it the amount of profit that's the problem? Would everybody feel better if they knew what the seller was making? Some time back, a seller here offered a pair of EG shoes that I know came from a retailer outlet near my office. I had looked at them, tried them on, but they just weren't the...

Corneliani Shirts ? Any experience ?

If they fit you well, as others have said, they're a pretty good value on sale. I find them to run pretty large in the chest/waist- I always have to have mine taken in. If you're ordering online, make sure you know if they have chest pockets or not- some do, some don't. My biggest issue is...

    "Outing" Sales Channels.

This thread is like a metaphor for suply side economics. Indeed it is... it's funny how fast the scenario changes from: -Suit A is $4200 at full retail. -Suit A shows up for sale on the B&S forum for $1000. -I just bought Suit A on B&S and saved $3200 off the retail price. -Wow! I'm happy...

What do we think about RLPL Orsett?

I'm sorry - I just GOT to say it. I don't care if those Orsett's are made by Edward Green, John Lobb, or by hand by the Pope at the Vatican - they are BEYOND ugly - and well past ridiculous. Would anyone who calls himself a man be caught DEAD in those? PUHLEEEEEZ! As to being caught dead in...

What do we think about RLPL Orsett?

I find the Orsett to be a very comfortable shoe to wear for extended periods. The vamp on the Orsett is a little longer than it is on some other pumps... my Paul Stuart/Grensons actually hurt sometimes, becasuse the really low cut opening is so close to the front of the shoe that it digs into...

Audi TT- anyone else happily rediscovered manual transmissions?

I drive an '07 TT 2.0 with the DSG. For me it was the best of both worlds.... ...I let him drive the TT around the block and he had the biggest ****-eating grin on his face when he pulled back in the driveway. He was shocked by the peppiness of the engine and the speed that the transmission...

    Salon or barber?

My barber of 30+ years retired last year- he gave me my first haircut so far back i can't remember exactly when. Drove me crazy until I found another great real barber shop that's almost a duplicate of the old one, down to the dark green vinyl and pitted chrome on the chairs. The real ones don't...

Audi TT- anyone else happily rediscovered manual transmissions?

Thanks for the comments. Shopping for this one was indeed easier, as no one wanted it since so few people, apparently, care to drive them. The TT's a car I didn't really care for until about a year ago, when I drove a friend's, but I got hooked on it immediately. Worlds of difference between the...

Audi TT- anyone else happily rediscovered manual transmissions?

Let me open by saying this isn't a car bragging thread- the exotics some of the members post here are beautiful and far beyond me- but just a general thumbs up for manual transmission cars. So... I decided to go get myself something fun to drive after three Jeeps in a row. After looking around...
