1. Agree with the above advice re removing the membrane, temp, leaving a water pan with the ribs. 2. Brine 'em. Soak them for several hours or overnight in a salt water solution, maybe put some molasses in the brine. Are the rubber sole covering supposed to look that thick? They look really off. The Topys that I have on my shoes are extremely thin. These are 4 Iron, which is 1/12 of an inch.
