The State of Black Tie: Your Observations

That is an excellent and creative suggestion! Unfortunately the logistics of squeezing in a London trip on top of some other planned travel (not to Europe) will probably rule that option out for me. But I appreciate the idea!

The State of Black Tie: Your Observations

Great, will rule that out. Out of curiosity, should I expect $5k, $6k, more...? Thanks for the suggestions - will do. I have certainly seen this opinion here, hence me asking about it. I have not seen any good explanation for what about it is garbage-y other than in their mass-market lines...

The State of Black Tie: Your Observations

Hi all, I'm looking to buy my first tuxedo for - stop me if you've heard this before - my upcoming wedding in April. I've read through the Styleforum black tie guide, which was extremely helpful. Does one remove brand tags from flatcaps?

I believe the little "Stetson" button you're referring to is their equivalent of the LaCoste alligator - i.e. advertising that their customers pay for the privilege of displaying - and is not intended to be removed. But it's your hat, so knock yourself out.
