Those cronmoks were actually the natural colored leather (I think AE called it tan) that I used neatsfoot oil on to darken up. I believe there are before/after pics to see how dark I got them from their original tan. Sadly, I parted with those blondes on the bay last year as they were an E width...- horsey shoes

Last MTO landed today... the infamous Mora in Walnut Shell. On my wish list of discontinued models, the Mora was a tie for first with the Fairfax; i.e. what started this whole obsession. I was on the fence about the Ball and Buck special order and decided to keep trolling eBay and other places...- horsey shoes

It has been a while (and many pages back), but I believe I used neatsfoot oil on these guys to darken them up. I have experimented with Reno (mink oil based) and neatsfoot oil a few times. I would say that neatsfoot oil darkens more generally than Reno. Neutral wax I found to not really darken...- horsey shoes

Second MTO landed this week... Fairfax in cappuccino shell. The Fairfax was what started my love affair with AE as I saw it in a few men's magazines (in chestnut/walnut) and even on a billboard or two near the higher end shopping centers in town. I have bone/walnut and brown/walnut (prior web gem). Agreed with everyone else, tons of compliments and it takes cajones, or at the very least, confidence to wear them. I pair them with sport coats, ties, and slacks on more casual days. Haven't been able to pair them with suits yet, but maybe...- horsey shoes

Confirmed, Nordy Rack in Dallas has them for $219 in chili and brown. Only D widths. I think I have seen them as low as $199 during their sales. Thanks. You can never have too much of your favorite shoe... that's why we are all here right?- horsey shoes
