I once purchased at 12D centennial hiker off white's ebay only to find out when they arrived I should have asked about sizing! I wear a 12C in SDs. They were far too short and I could barely force my feet in. If I remember correctly when I asked later you want to size up a half size from SDs...- hendjosh

On the Red/crayon color liner: Be prepared for some staining of your socks initially. Both of my pairs have that lining, but now that they are older there is no staining unless i clean the inside out. But really how often do you look at your socks! Sorry it took a bit to post some new pictures of these boots as I had to clean them up a bit. Notes on the lighting I have pretty bright and somewhat blue-tinged office lighting so the color is a deeper red in person especially outdoors. Shhh!!! Don't tell anyone. I've been waiting for a while to see how low they can go! The real reason I haven't picked them up yet is because I'd rather spend a bit more and just get something with a leather like water buffalo or french calf.- hendjosh

Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts?
I generally wear Smart Wool medium weight socks, but sometimes I wear the the form fit heavy-weight versions when it gets below 32F. I have lace-to-toe bounty hunters so I'm pretty sure they are not too tight around my feet, but my feet get quite cold from "under the sole" as Royteane said.- hendjosh

Fasthall, you could check out Nick's boots for brown horsehide. http://nicksboots.com/colors/ Of course the wait time is a whole lot longer... I am glad I got my White's horsehide when I did it is a really awesome leather.- hendjosh

What are your thoughts on the White's Centennial Hiker? I have used my BHs a lot for hiking, but have found them lacking a bit since I have a 430 sole instead of the full lug.- hendjosh
