NM Alterations pricing?
Like I said, there wasn't a discussion of price so I don't see how you can say I agreed to any set price. I saw the price on the receipt after I had purchased the items. At NM, when you buy a pair of trousers, they do the adjustments for free. Likewise, when I've bought shirts from other places...- harp

I had the sleeves adjusted and the sides tapered (I'm relatively small framed but have a large 16.5 neck). My tailor charges me ~$15 per shirt, which seems reasonable. I didn't exactly agree to $52/shirt. I asked them to do it and assumed it would be a reasonable price given that I am...- harp

I recently picked up a couple of dress shirts on sale at NM. My shirts always need altered so I figured I'd just get them to do it in the store as opposed to having to make another trip out to my tailor. The SA, who seemed new ended up charging $52 per shirt for alterations. Is this standard...- harp

Eating in DC
I took my mother to Komi last week and it was excellent. Very pricey at around $170 each but definitely an experience. We had the chef's tasting menu, which was 14 courses, but I believe it varies from meal to meal.- harp

Help! My navy BB suit makes me look like a preacher
try wearing a different shirt and you definitely dont want a 3 button jacket. it just smells of 1998 I thought it was the other way around? And also of course it relates to your height. Shorter guys want 2 buttons to stretch out their upper body.- harp

The reason the jacket is sort of bulging below the 2nd button is because I had the tag tucked in there :-) If you look closely, you can see the thread wrapped around the 2nd button.- harp

Thanks everyone. When I first put the jacket on, I felt there was too much baggage just under the shoulder pad, however I've found that the longer I have the jacket on, those wrinkles/baggage work themselves out. I have a brown Brioni jacket that I don't have this problem with so I felt there...- harp
