Thanks. I will look into Chipp. Pardon the new guy if I was naive and not knowledgeable regarding suits.

Anyone own an Oxxford 1220 and a BB Fitz..

Oxxford 1220 is not slim. With smaller sizes and some tailoring you can make Oxxford work for you, I believe. Also, I highly recommend guys who sell Oxxfords on ebay - frieschskys. Great service, insane shipping speed.

This man has purchased a black suit from Oxxford and is now faulting Oxxford for the fact that the suit isn't navy. Black? More like dark navy. Easy. I'm not faulting Oxxford or seller. Could you recommend a tailor with style similar to BB 1818?

Can I ask what disappointed you about your new Oxxford 1220 suit? That might help. Oxxford 1220 is still a good suit and I'm keeping it. - fit. Good but not great. I guess you can't have great with OTR. - color. More black than navy. I like navy. - cloth. OK but I want great. Yet I have no...

OP, have you looked at BB's 1818 MTM program where you can pick your fabric, etc. ? No. I would prefer to work with tailor directly. I'm familiar with how large corporations work and I don't trust big guys to produce real quality. My body type is muscular (a lot of powerlifting years ago) and I...

I'm absolutely new to quality suits. I do like BB look. I think I will contact Rubinacci and see what he can offer me. Maybe custom style is possible after all.

Thank you for your responses. Now I see Rubinacci is not what I need. Who's the best if I want to be in control of style? 6k for a suit is a lot especially if you don't have a say in what you want your suit to look like. Basically I want something BB 1818 but with great cloth, adjusted design...

Pictures ID this suit/your opinions on it's quality

I would doubt the authenticity - what labels does it have. If the vendor says "Brioni quality" then that rather confirms it is fake. Thus the whole thing may well exude fake qualities as others have remarked. Oxxford labels. But you can never trust labels. I was hoping that experts could...

As I understand you can bring him your ideas/pictures/suits and he can work with you on achieving any look/style you like. Rubinacci is a trusted name among people who are passionate about suits. Does it matter where I order my suit? Or would it be better to work directly with Rubinacci?

I think it's a nice suit with decent quality. But how does it fit on you? Even if the size is approximately right it's possible that the cut of this suit does not flatter your body proportions. Do not buy a label. That is the most common mistake when buying OTR. Good fit. Perfect shoulders...

I'm a little disappointed in my new Oxxford 1220 suit. Thinking about ordering from Rubinacci. I'm interested in solid Navy, BB 1818 Fitzerald look alikes, perfectly tailored to my body. How much would it cost me? I heard he charges $US 3,000+ for a suit. Would it be possible to order shirts...

Off the bat, especially from the undercollar - that is not a Brioni quality suit. I was told on this forum Oxxford 1220 is as good as OTR Brioni. I'm not talking about detailing, but in general. Fabric quality, design, seams.

I can feel third piece of fabric ending just under my jacket pocket. Suit feels OK, but nothing magical. This suit is Oxxford 1220, $US 800, retail $US 3,000 I'm not sure if this suit is worth it's retail price. Maybe I'm too picky. But it seems OTR are not so great after all. Even high end ones.

Bought this suit today, brand new. I'm not sure if it's authentic and of great quality. Store owner assured me that I'm getting a "Brioni quality" suit. I'm asking menswear experts to take a look and let me know what they think about this suit. Pictures are not great, please let me know if I...

briefcase, SAB or maybe something cheaper but good?

I dont see any downsides, Moo was as happy as a Cow (no pun intended) when he got it, i asked him about it, i have no use for one but thought about getting my gf one for work, he told me the case is great and the guy who made it is good...
