The Hong Kong BaoTou Tailors and Fabric Shops for CMT Thread

Has anyone made anything recently? Wanted to get something made since its been a while so wanted to see if anyone has an idea of the going price for Ng sifu or Lok sifu. I would imagine pants Wong is out of the question seeing how much he is charging nowadays. Any new insights as to who is...

Anyone have experience getting a safari jacket made? I asked my shirtmaker but he won't make them. Does Ng make them? Would also be interested in getting something like this made... https://www.thearmoury.com/products/the-armoury-wool-city-hunter-2-jacket?variant=16680025194567

Who is the sifu that made the coat? Also, where do you usually get your vintage fabrics? I saw on the news that Yen Chow is closing at the end of the month, but I presume they only sell random bits of cotton and polyester?

@PekingRoadHK Do you know any baotou who can do polo shirts? Want to have something made, similar to the Ascot Chang Polo that they sell at The Armoury

I'm not the most experienced in this, but I have a few pairs of pants in Fresco or Drapers 4 ply and haven't noticed any real problems in the 2 years I've owned them. However, I've also never encountered pilling in any of my clothes so it may be down to your gait and if it leads to extra pilling.

Wong has access to alumo, which imo is superior to TM. I don't think Wong offers TM, he usually tells me to get it myself in Central

How do you wash the polo? Throw it in the wash or do you have to have it dry cleaned? And any idea how it stacks up to the one the armoury offerings? Oh - and does it have a normal shirt collar? Or is it just fabric

I went to Samuel Chen for my Scabal as well. However, know that they have a very very small selection and they don't have a real book. They just have a selection of fabrics bound together in a plastic flipbook. Price is right though!

It was a fun experiment but I probably wouldn't do another one. I did it to make a very casual jacket and hoped that it would make a suit more bearable in the summer. However, even a 330g linen wasn't light enough to make it wearable in the current weather. If you don't have an unstructured...

Awesome, I will check them out. Do you know if they have any fabric available? Even if it's some random chinese fabric? Maybe I'll see if they know where I could get some fabric suitable for a polo

Does anyone know if there's a baotou that can make a bespoke polo shirt? I know Ascot Chang offers it, but at about 2K+ for one, I wanted to know if there was a less expensive alternative. Ideally, I'd want to get something made of cotton/wool similar to the one Simon Cromptom sells. Any idea...
