    IMO it's not so much the size but how you wear it. Even though in my WAYW posts are reveal the watch, in reality my watch's are always under the cuff in a suit environment & for casual settings it varies on the shirt & sweater combination (as the sweater cuff tends to slim the forearm area)...

    when the diameter of watches are listed on these sites...that excludes the crown and chronograph buttons right? simply the diameter of the face? I really like the jazzmaster, but its 45mm which is huge.

    i'm new to this as well, but i'm guessing high instep has to do with how close the laces start relative to the heel cuz this affects the size of the opening for your foot to get in and therefore at the same time, the height of the shoe.
