?? They are absolutely hand welted. But I'm curious about issues with false hand welting! Was that on here or is there a brand that was pushing these?

Thanks for the advice! Especially about the 100hours. Tougher also because I won't have many sizes on offer for quite a while. My initial plan is to make 2 pairs for sale this year, and sell them at cost (or less). I'm sure it will be difficult to find the buyers but hopefully I can leverage...

Thanks! One of the things I've heard a lot from ladies is that they dislike companies always assuming they want slimmer cemented construction when in reality quite a few (although is may be a small minority) wish they could get nice welted shoes. For the questions: They are hand welted Crust...

Which may be quite difficult...

    Frye Welt Stitching

I doubt it will be much of an issue if the stitch still actually goes all the way through to the leather welt on top. Once you wear out the soles enough to get a resole, most of the other stitches on the bottom will already be worn through anyway and these faulty ones will probably still be...

    Unworn shoes

I make hand welted shoes, and when they are nearly complete, sitting on my desk, I feel like I should should keep them there permanently ?? Great shoes are definitely art, and should never ever be used! ? jk jk, but I feel you
