These are nice. I hate really sharp wingtips because the tip always ends up being bent up. I'm glad JL went with a softer wing.
Personally, I'm not a fan. The weird, non-traditional broguing ruins them for me.

Also, not a fan of how Lobb photographs their newer shoe models. I don't know if it is the lighting, polishing , or retouching of some kind, but they look oddly fake and plasticky. (the defective pair of new season Lopez I returned had a crazy thick layer of polish on them concealing bites and growth marks in the leather)

You don't see the natural grain of the leather like you do with Edward Green or Gaziano & Girling's website photos (or Lobb's older models).

Yes, already said a couple of times, John Lobb has lost the right path. The older models look so much better.

As I saw them the first time (in the web), I was quite attracted, but when I saw them in person, I was rather disappointed. Don't get why you would prefer a fake brogue.

Interesting. Quite the opposite experience for me. I thought they looked ghastly online, but I found them quite interesting on-feet. For sure not worth what they are asking for, however.

Their bespoke workshop is still top notch!

A pity though that the main line, besides the evergreen classics, doesn't offer much exciting.

I think that both Edward Green and Gaziano & Girling have more interesting styles and a much larger choice of leathers.

So I picked up two pairs of John Lobb's at their sample sale in NYC this week. 80% off! I picked up a pair of black Linwood's and City II NS.

Unfortunately, I think I bought them 1/2 size too big! They're the same size or half a size bigger than what I get in C&J and Tricker's, depending on the shoe. However, I'm noticing that they fit perfectly width-wise because of my wide feet but they feel a bit long and there's lots of heel slippage. What to do?

You could try some tongue pads? They will push your feet back into the heel cup. In the future, John Lobb does offer a EE, wide width, version of most of their shoes. You might want to try those to get the right width without adding unnecessary length.
