OFFICIAL THREAD: General Cookery and Discussion

Two things about this. When I took that picture, some 10-13 year old kid came to see what I was taking a picture of and started laughing. I said “I know right?” and also started laughing. His mom shot a look at me and just grabbed him and said “let’s go”. Second thing, I was picturing giving...

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

Yes that’s the thing for me. If they had cut off that extra bit of watch from the right side, it would be better. Is too wide and that throws everything off.

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

That’s kind of me. I like to think that I know more about watches then I actually know but at the end of the day what I buy is based more on looks then anything else. Speaking of buying what I like and vomiting over what I don’t like, don’t know why or what this is...

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

My biggest regret in terms of crazy watches was never picking up a Seiko Sportura Chrono, back about 20 years ago. I thought they looked crazy and wasn’t sure if I liked it or hated it. It reminded me of something Vianney Halter had just introduced a year or two prior (and that was insanely out...

This is actually a watch made for proctologists.

Jeez, deader than Diddy’s career in here. Anyway, blue dial big pilot. I don’t like pilot straps so put on a blue nylon strap but not particularly sold on it either 🤷‍♂️

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

Based on the second pic where you get a glimpse of the crown, lugs and Roman numerals on dial, I want to guess it’s a Franck Muller Master Square??

    STEAKS!!!!!!!

Honestly had not heard of cold searing but there is another myth, to get a cast iron as hot as possible and then throw the steak on. I used to do that and the smoke took about a week to clear out from my house.

    STEAKS!!!!!!!

The resting thing never worked for me. I thought I was doing something wrong but didn’t care. I remember seeing some chef say to let a steak rest for 30 minutes  :sarcasm: The flipping the steak multiple times is something I’ve always done, just seems common sense that you can get a more...

More like an eclipse (of your wrist). Do you have small wrists or is that watch that wide/long? Surprised Patek made watches that big back then.

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

Kith is a huge streetwear brand, not at the Supreme level but still, those watches should sell quickly. The only surprising thing is that they didn’t go whole hog and do a hoodie, sneakers and a scented candle with the signature smell of each city.
