I don't wash my own shirts, and I keep going back and forth on whether I should have my cleaner dry clean them or launder the with other dress shirts? Any thoughts, experiences and preferances?

Laundered

you have to specify this with Village Cleaners if you’re still using them. Their default is dry clean

I am and will. Just picked some up and was wondering whether I should switch to laundering.

If she asks I say I want them laundered and she does what she calls ”a soft press”. Haven’t found anyone that does shirts as consistently well as they do. Still use them even though I don’t live in chicago.
i launder/ press them myself as well.
