How can I make my hair fluffier? (Add volume I think)

My hair is very straight, if I don’t put product into it in the morning then I have a bowl cut. I use about 3 finger-fulls of wax and my hair still is very straight and inconsistent although not completely straight down. When I put my hair into a bun for about 30-40 minutes it comes out very fluffy and I can run my fingers through it, shake my head, and jump without it changing all too much, is there anyway to get it to stay how it is after I put it in a bun consistently? (Atleast for 12 hours)

Use a hairdryer combined with a round volume brush. Look it up on Youtube.

Doing that takes less product as well.

You might honestly use too much product, as that depends on the thickness of your hair. Voluminous styling products/mousses can be added when damp etc.

Might also depend on your shampoo/conditioner. It might weigh your hair down.

This was a good post from another thread:
  • Get a good stylist at a propper salon to cut your hair. Show them the style you want and they will cut it appropriately for you.

  • Use a non shine shampoo. I use a Redken shampoo for normal hair. Nothing “nourishing” that adds oils. You therefore might not need a conditioner.

  • Half towel dry your hair when you get out of the shower so it is damp but not dripping

  • Apply some styling mousse for volume and massage into the hair to the roots. About half a palm of mousse and work from the back to the front of the hair (guys always put the most product at the front, this is no good). I use Loreal Tech-ni art

  • Blow dry your hair working your fingers upwards through your hair until dry. This will give volume and help with that all day hold.

  • Apply a small amount of hair gel to your palm, a little smaller then the size of a coke bottle lid, evenly distribute through the hair from back up and then do front lastly. Use the tips of fingers to control amount and palm will have most of the gel on it. I use Loreal Techni Art Fix gel. Don't try to flatten the hair and dont be too neat use your fingers to style. Once you have the desired look leave it alone.

  • On really hot or humid days I will sometimes apply a little hairspray for hold but you have to be careful that you don't make it look like its been hairsprayed. I find holding the can 30-40 cms away is good.

Do You Consider Sustainability When Purchasing Clothes?

  • Always - Sustainability is a top priority in all my clothing purchases.

  • Often - I frequently consider sustainability, but it isn't the main factor in my decisions.

  • Rarely - I seldom consider sustainability when purchasing clothes.

  • Never - Sustainability is not a factor I consider in my clothing choices.
